The food was good a little more well done then I would have liked I had a tandoori mix. Staff were grate but the building was a little rough around the edges (missing light bulbs,broken seats, and so on). The room I was seated in was very grand despite this. First time visiting with family. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Food was very good, and everyone enjoyed their chosen dishes. My husband was even able to order a chicken vindaloo which wasn't on the menu. The restaurant has a lovely setting and the decor is really nice.

Visiting after 8 years. The food was fantastic and authentic, not at all generic. The staff, in particular a chap named Alex was very friendly and accommodating to our group of 8. Excellent service. Will be coming again soon.
Calcutta is great Indian restaurant located in a beautiful historic building in the picturesque town of Stony Stratford.
We ordered, scallops, king prawns, chicken and lamb. All of which was cooked very nicely and had very nice flavour.

A really good Thali that didn't feel like too much food! Has to be one of the most impressive restaurant settings, being in the old church. The service was spot on, I do always wish they had draught beer though!

Really great place to eat. Great selection on the menu and good choice of beers. The setting is the real winner and it's a lovely place to spend an evening. Staff are friendly and attentive. A must try if in the area.
The food is very good and I would recommend it. The food is very nice and the service is second to none . It's worth a visit just for the building and the atmosphere.

We do a near 2 hour round trip just to come here! Banquet A is one of the most exceptional collections of food, can honestly so it's the best Indian I've ever eaten. Beautiful setting too, absolutely love it here.
We had the Sunday banquet menu cannot fault anything. Service great, relaxed didn't feel rushed at all. Food very tasty and good portion size. Would definitely recommend and will come again very soon.

We visited for our sons birthday and had a great time. The staff are amazing and helpful. The food was delicious too. Gloves and masks were worn by all staff.
