I had not been to this place for several years and generally was in no rush to go back there. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised when I went there a few days ago however as the place was so much smarter than I remember it. The atmosphere was very friendly as was the service and drinks. Great proof that it’s always worth giving a place a second chance if it’s been a while. The turn around is a credit to the owners.

Have been a few times for drinks: beer always nice and comfortable surroundings. This time we had Sunday lunch too: roast meals on offer. Well priced, good portions and nicely cooked. Under £18 for roast beef and apple crumble: recommend!

Very nice place. Loved the new menu. Had a lovely tuna steak on a sizzler platter with mashed potatoes. Was a bit puzzled by the service who came at least 4 times to confirm my order.

We were just driving past and called in. Do not be put off by the outside appearance. The staff were very welcoming. The pub itself and toilets were very clean. The beer was a well kept pint and the food was fantastic, lots of homemade verities and so tasty. The service was pleasant and quick even though there was a few people eating. The prices for the food and service received was well worth every penny and didn't think it was expensive at all. Would definitely highly recommend a visit if passing. Glad we did 👍

Ignore the dreadful reviews. This is the third time we have been here and it has always been excellent. How can people say the food is expensive when you can have 2 mains for £15!! Which were well cooked, quickly served and extremely tasty. The desserts were also delicious, particularly the lovely bread and butter pudding. Highly recommended. Glass of wine, 2 coffees, 2 for £15 and one additional main, diet coke, 2 desserts and came to a total of £52. Super value. All served by Adam who, despite being on his own was efficient and friendly. Visit and see for yourselves.

Decent enough boozer... Good ale and cider selection. Lots of traditional pub parifinalia about the gaff. Serves food and has an enormous dining room... Look out for the bloke at the bar who looks like Jim Bowen, I think he could break the world record for swearing 😂😂

We’ve been here several times recently. It’s a very nice pub with friendly hospitable staff and great food. They have a bar menu, the regular menu and a specials board. They also do an excellent Sunday roast lunch. All prices are reasonable. We will be back there soon.

We took our daughter and grandson out for lunch as an Easter treat, lovely atmosphere, nice simple menu with good child's selection. Service was excellent as was the food. Well worth the visit.

Bit disappointed that the vegan options have dropped off the menu at my last visit (29/10/22) The Manageress was excellent in welcoming and serving, and a real credit to the place Ales could be a bit more adventurous (the only decent boozer in the heart of Stonehouse!) Nice layout and food (when options allow!)

Went for quick snack lunch which was very nice. Appears they were waiting to clean pumps so both draught bitters were off. Attentive staff which made for a pleasant experience.
