1950s Diner - Stokesley - Photo album

Visiting Stokesley after visiting Great Ayton from our holiday accommodation in Danby, on the moors. Did try to get a tea meal in most pubs in Stokesley, but all said not doing food til after renovations!!! Walked from one end to the other, and was walking back to the car to try elsewhere, when we f
Really enjoyed my fish, chips and mushy peas. I've used this fish shop/ diner for both take away and sitting in. I don't live in Stokesley but when I'm there this is where I eat. Really friendly staff and the prices are really good. I would recommend if in the area.
Decided to pop in for lunch while in Stokesley for something else.. we chose a hotdog and a burger.. we both enjoyed our food.. chips were gorgeous and my husband said the burger was really really good! Staff were absolutely lovely and the setting is nice.. we would definitely return!
First visit today as on holiday in the area had to wait a few minutes for the fish to be cooked but was certainly worth the wait, massive portion of proper chips too. Probably the best fish and chips I have had for ages.
Lovely shop and lovely setting. Fish and chips were delicious as well. Knocked down a star as locals were moved above us until someone else pointed out what was happening. Also, very good COVID management system.
My wife and I only bought two lots of chips with curry sauce.... The chips are proper 'farmhouse'-style. Real chunky and full of flavour. Great value, and tasty as hell. just 3-4 shops down on the same side as Thomas the Baker.
Great freshly cooked fish. Generous with the chips as well. Would have given 5 stars but it was a bit oily and on the drive home it started to leak out of the box. Maybe consider offering wrapping the food instead of the box. Apart from that delicious.
I gave this 5 ⭐ because the fish is cooked to order & tasted fresh, the batter was nice just needed a few more minutes to drian the oil off. I personally wasn't keen on the chips but that's just my personal opinion & taste. Cheese burger could of had a bit more cheese. Shop looked clean & tidy. Staf
Excellent quality and value. Friendly and helpful staff. Best chippy in North Yorkshire and we have tried everywhere. Will definitely be back, we made a wrong turn and decided to get some lunch here and we're glad we did. Excellent work people!
Nice food and nice staff!
Rolling into Stokesley after a fun but tiring day exploring the lanes of the North Yorkshire moors the group I was with were all hungry so it was decided we'd hit the chippy, the Stokesley fish shop became the object of desire, decorated in a light scheme of mainly white with pink and blue bits in t
Nice shop and good food, but service was very slow. We only wanted 2 portions of chips, but had to wait for what seem very small batches of fish to be fied on a hot Sunday afternoon. We even asked from the queue that we only wanted chips, but were told we would have to wait in line. If fish is only
Lovely fish and chips. Red hot. Good service would go again and recommend.
A real delight to find this American style diner attached to a high quality fish and chip shop. We stop every time we are in the area and have never been disappointed in the food or by the service. The owner is very friendly and has obviously put a large amount of time and money into the business. H
