What a lovely place it is here.
It was full of diners by 7.30pm which to me shows it has a good reputation. All our waitresses were really lovely and attentive.
The food here is absolutely delicious, you get a fair size portion too. Highly recommended 👌
Very nice old traditional English restaurant with good food nice cosy atmosphere, original style and great service. We very enjoyed the time here, definitely will come back.
We received a very warm welcome and the staff worked very hard to ensure we were happy. They couldn't have done anything more to make our visit a great one.
There's a wide range of food and beers available, everywhere was clean & tidy, a really nice place to visit and we will be back.
Booked a table for 4 adults in the restaurant, the service and food was just amazing. The menu was just really great, it catered for every type of food preference. The staff were very tentative and the food was absolutely gorgeous. We had not been here in a while and we have always thought highly of the place but they have taken it to another level. We will return for sure and very soon. Weldon front and kitchen team our night was floor-less.
Enjoyed a lovely meal last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Service was great and we weren't waiting long . Definitely will return.
5 stars doesn’t do this place enough justice! Food was phenomenal and reasonably priced for the high quality. Service was faultless, every member of staff was attentive and the service was rapid but we didn’t feel rushed. We would recommend this place to anyone and will certainly be back!
Great lunch - partner had the best steak he has had anywhere. This is high praise indeed! Desserts were fabulous. Sparkly clean, traditional environment with good staff & plenty of them. Lovely beer garden outside & stunning hanging baskets. Thank you for a lovely meal. All staff were polite & helpful except one.
Lovely …… as usual…..but isn’t food getting smaller and more expensive nowadays ! …. As well as the price of a pint ….. makes ‘going out’ visits less frequent.
Visited for lunch. Deep fried mushrooms & garlic dio for starters Mains, traditional beer battered cod with chips & mushy peas & Teriyaki. Vegetarian mains very good the nut roast was amazing. Staff very helpful & friendly.

Ate here last year to celebrate a friends birthday, good pub Sunday Roast. Came back a year on to celebrate again and not disappointed. Very busy, excellent service, lots of staff and very attentive. Our party had roast chicken, lamb, beef and steak and ale pie and no complaints. Hope to be back soon.
Some of the best food you can find with top class service from staff who know their job and do it very well every time. Steaks are outstanding and cooked exactly as requested. Starters were lovely and the desert about finished me off!
We were a party of ten ,there for a Christmas lunch.
Food was good, turkey lovely, beef bordelaise smashing, plenty of veg. Sprouts like conkers.

Lovely country pub. The Sunday dinners were lovely and the service was excellent. We booked in advance. Ample parking. Would recommend and will return.
