We went for Sunday roast lunch, great selection offered, beef, pork, chicken and vegetarian options. We both went for the roast beef, really well cooked, served with roast potatoes, parsnips, sweet potato mash and cauliflower/ broccoli cheese Yorkshire pud, portion size was ample, also offer a short and simple selection of deserts, definitely will be back.

A lovely dog friendly place, happened upon it on my way back from the beach. Popped in on the off chance and they managed to fit me and the dog in for a spot of dinner even though we had no booking. Food was excellent and very helpful and friendly staff.

What a brilliant restaurant / pub. First of all we had a take away of fish and chips, just outstanding quality and then lent us the vinegar to take back to our cottage. We then had a fabulous meal with them the next day with our dog, they could not have been more helpful. The food and service was excellent.

I can't comment on the rooms, however we have eaten here and drink socially here also. Always consistent with a good standard, dogs are welcome although the bar staff do throw the occasional filthy look when people arrive and other dogs say hello to each other! Only downside for the food is their vegetarian offerings is very poor. It would be nice to have a little choice.

A brilliant find! Would give more Stars if I could. Can't comment rooms as we only had lunch. Beautiful pub, beautiful outdoor spaces. Very helpful staff! Thank you so much! I'm gluten and dairy intolerant and really need accommodation for this. Its not a lifestyle choice, these foods make me ill. Fabulous to find a helpful eating place! Deliciois GF bread, they used mayo instead of spread on my sandwiches and had a whole GF menu properly available instead of the usual tatty file listing ingredients of every dish. We will definitely be back.

No rating for rooms as we only ate there. The food and service were amazing though. Certainly return if in the area.

Didn't visit, however, it is across the street from the Church, as indicated by its name, In Widecombe in the Moors, which we did visit. My daughter and her husband and son were visiting so we took them for a drive in the Moors and Widecombe is an obligatory, because of its beauty, stop on the drive.

Great Easter Roast today. Staff were very attentive to food allergies. Everything in the roast dinner is gluten free except the Yorkshire pud and they were even able to offer a selection of gluten free desserts!

We had our staff Christmas meal, the food was lovely. The vegetables were brought out in separate dishes and the portions were very generous (the cauliflower cheese was amazing). The service was excellent and very friendly. It was a great evening, thank you

Fabulous lunch here today. Lovely to go to a pub that serves up veg rather than just chips and coleslaw. All food was homemade and not purchased via a wholesale catering company. Service with a smile. Couldn't fault. Would recommend and will return.

Stayed for one night whilst seeing my family in Kingsbridge. I wish I found this place sooner and stayed for both my nights away (stopped in Dorchester for one night as a halfway point). The room, the service, the vibe, the breakfast and the location was spot on and the value for money is unbeatable. I believe the manager looked after us and showed us to our room and he was very attentive and kind and there was no problem at all when we asked for a slightly later checkout, so thank you. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back.

Visited 3 times on our holidays as was recommended and was dog friendly. We found the location, food, beer, and staff to be excellent. Tried the Butter Chicken and the sirloin steak and found both to be really good and if you like your beer I can recommend the Salcombe Pale Ale. Only negative which was not the pub's fault was the large number of screaming kids there the last time we visited, not exactly conducive to a relaxing night out
