Great food, good beer and cider, fabulous view and the staff even managed to find us a table inside with our two dogs inside because it was windy outside. Would not hesitate to visit again. A real gem

We came here for a family brekkie on Sunday morning. The food was fantastic, locally sourced, gorgeous eggs, sausage and bacon. The coffee was lovely too, can't stand rubbish coffee! Can't fault the service, all the boys working that morning were really friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere, we've always loved this pub and we shall be doing breakfast again, delish!!

A great place all the year around. Good beer. Good bands and great food, and the hot chocolate on a cold day is superb.

A great pub with lots to offer. We stopped here on our way to a local festival. We had been before in the winter and were impressed but it was even better in the summer. Nice sized beer garden with views from the walk in. The food was delicious and we weren't waiting long at all. The landlord was a real fun character and very welcoming, as we're the rest of the team. We will definitely come back each year when we visit the area for the festival.

Great menu and fantastic service and guess what Dog Friendly too! Our server Ali was very helpful, the burger tasted homemade, the chips were crispy just how l like them. It’s a lovely area to visit with the Ring of stones and the views. Great selection of Ciders and Beers although sadly one of us has to drive. Second visit just as good and Ali remembered us and pulled out all the stops, this time chicken and Leek Pie and l had Rogan Chicken Curry both very tasty. I need to return for the Fish and chips they looked awesome 🌟

Popped in here on a recommendation. What a beautiful place to have lunch or just a drink. We will certainly return again when we are passing. It was very busy due to it being a Sunday, but the staff were very efficient and although we were told the food would be 45 mins it came out a lot faster.

On holiday and for my birthday, we chose to go there as dog friendly which it certainly was. Great food, excellent service and buzzing atmosphere. Advise to book in advance even for a few years while you go for a walk around the Ham Hill Country Park. Can only imagine how busy it is in the summer.

A superb spot for a pub. Beautiful surroundings and views. Lots of walks to enjoy. The pub itself is clean with plenty of room for multiple groups. It provides a thoughtful welcome to families, ramblers and particularly dog walkers. There are boot scrappers at the door and dog water bowls at every table outside. There is a good selection of drinks including beer direct from the barrels - all well kept. The food is well presented and quickly prepared. Staffing is to an appropriate level and they are friendly, swift and helpful. Pricing is about where I would expect it to be for such a popular establishment. On my list of favourites.

After we had our wonderful wedding in the chapel at The Prince of Wales in 2016, we decided that it would be the perfect place to have our joint birthday party. We hired the marquee and the team at the pub couldn’t have been better, going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for our 80s themed evening. We booked a hog roast which was delicious! Well done Mike, Nicki and team!

A beautiful hidden gem, although it's well used by the locals . Ample parking around the hill in various car parks. The pub sits up above the local villages and overlooks the countryside around it. Fantastic walks and VERY dog friendly inside and out of the pub. Very friendly and perfect place to ambly away a day with walking, eating and drinking. Lots of Outside seating as well plus regular live music events on the stage round the back.
