What a fabulous pub. Called in after reading a review and it looked like the best bet close to the canal. Turns out the review was right. No TV's, no gambling machines, no pool tables, but board games to use on the shelf, a fabulous choice of real ales, good food and most importantly great locals. It must be 10 years since I was last in a pub someone produced a guitar, and another one, asked me to join in, and by the end of the evening we were singing irish ballads and then on to Karaoke and being asked to join the owners and friends on a weekend away. If Carlsberg did boozers, (oh they probably do) this would be it - only with better ale. Probably the best pub on the canal network. Will be back on Friday!!

A proper local pub. Recently started a few simple food options. Pizzas are amazing, and pie and a pint for less than a tenner, you can't go wrong.
Cracking canalside pub, proper real ales, three pints of Best for £11. Can't say fairer than that. Cheers!
Didn't eat here, popped in for a drink. Friendly staff and customers. Would definitely go back if we are in the area.
Beer festival day today. Large choice of real ales and Ciders. The Blue Bell was also pub of the month as voted by Camra.
Pub was packed out and the the waiting times to be served was around 15-20mins. Had a great day out.
Great little pub. Excellent beer. Great value, good quality food. Sometimes live music and often busy.
