Great place for a walk, with kids or dogs or just other adults. Nice cafes along the walk and plenty of benches. Short and long walking paths so you can tailor it to your abilities. Not much incline. And lovely garden at the end.
Would definitely recommend getting a year round ticket if you intend

Great place. Loads of space, pic nic seating and places to set up camp for a few hours or the whole day. More eating in the shopping area than in the gardens, but if you know you can plan. Rented gazebos look like a reasonable idea (could be more spaced out tbough). Good family day out, on lead dog

The walk around the lake is one of the few things keeping me sane during the lockdown! All feels very Covid safe with a one way system implemented, alongside the need to make reservations. The walk is gorgeous (especially on a clear day) and super quiet; midway round you'll pass by the monkey forest
it used to be a really nice peaceful day out but recently they've added loads of things that it didn't need and it's all a bit much really, it still has beautiful gardens but I wish they hadn't started to focus so much on additional profit, I probably won't be going back but I left 3 stars for what
Fungus spotting is fantastic in the woods in autumn. Trees are changing colour and putting on a colourful display. The grasses in the Italian gardens are looking golden. Such a beautiful place for a walk no matter what the weather.
