Great place for a walk, with kids or dogs or just other adults. Nice cafes along the walk and plenty of benches. Short and long walking paths so you can tailor it to your abilities. Not much incline. And lovely garden at the end. Would definitely recommend getting a year round ticket if you intend
Lovely gardens, pity we didn't get to see them at their best this Summer. The weather was fantastic so the walk around the lake was leisurely. Love the fairies dotted around. One way system so good social distancing. People were observing it in the shopping village too. Not so good in the garden ce

Fungus spotting is fantastic in the woods in autumn. Trees are changing colour and putting on a colourful display. The grasses in the Italian gardens are looking golden. Such a beautiful place for a walk no matter what the weather.
