I am very lucky, I only live 90 second's away from this lovely Pub 😁 it is very warm and welcoming, you can walk in not knowing anyone and walk out having made friends. The food is great so is the service, the beer is great. The landlord and landlady are great ( and funny lol ) and will go that ext
Fantastic! The Red Lion catered an event for us and it was really nicely done. Great atmosphere, drinks and hearty food at super reasonable prices. You can’t go wrong!
Great food Great beers good atmosphere wish it was a bit closer to home
Wonderful place! Restaurant not open when we went but we were welcomed by a log fire and really friendly patrons. Such a community, cosy feel. Also amazing local ale from Uttoxeter brewery. Exactly how a British pub should be!
Although originally a Checkley lad, returned to the Lion after being overseas for decades pleasantly surprised by the friendly service, great landlord and the amazing locals, always have a laugh. Beer from Uttoxeter brewery was awesome.
Cracking boozer small friendly with a good atmosphere, well worth a visit family's and dogs welcome.
Lovely old pub with good beer, good service. Open fire and log burner make it a lovely place for a brew.
Landlord and landlady have turned this gem of a pub back to how it used to be, great place to relax with a well kept drink. Great people through out the place
Great pub, bit out of the way but fab staff and great prices
Love this place. The owner is really friendly and accommodating. Very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Good selection of beers. I spend a lot of time round this way, but if I lived here it'd be my local.
Stayed in the area for a couple of days and were made to feel very welcome…. Excellent beer etc should be in the good beer guide if they’re not already….
