Charlie Bassett's Pub - Stoke-on-Trent - Photo album

I was coming up for the football and was struggling to find a campsite for the weekend, which had vacancies, (probably due to school summer holidays and locality being close to Alton Towers), a local friend suggested Charlie Bassets. I have to say a real pleasurable stay. The check in procedure was
Had a Sunday lunch here, portion sizes are generous, the main course was tasty but not exceptional, highlights were the goats cheese and beetroot starter which was lovely, and the others in the group loved the pรขtรฉ. Bass beer on draft is also served here which is a bit of a rarity these days. We exper
Very nice warm welcoming community pub, campsite is very nice & quiet... beautifully kept: food is also great. Dog friendly - landlord is a great chap ๐Ÿ‘ Brilliant all round - would definitely recommend this place for a few nights away or even just for a few drinks
Around 15ยฃ per main. Standard menu but lovely views and family environment... Except the tattooed middle aged foul mouth loud chav by the door. It put off people going in. Other than that, it was really Nice ๐Ÿ‘
We stayed overnight in the campsite behind and had food in the pub. Food was delicious. Very tasty. I had the lasagna and my partner had liver and mash and he said it was cooked to perfection ๐Ÿ‘Œ we were advised to book a table for the evening meal as it gets busy which was easy to do via Facebook mes
Canโ€™t speak highly enough of this place. We stayed with our two dogs on their campsite for two days. Facilities great. Food was amazing, Friday entertainment was great. Staff friendly and accommodating as well as a great outdoor space with BBQ and Pizza oven.

Delicious food at reasonable prices served efficiently. We went during Friday evening and a big highlight was the acoustic live music - absolutely great atmosphere! We very much appreciated the impromptu frozen 'let it go' song (meant for the children present, but we thoroughly enjoyed it as well!)
Went a bit late after being a couple of other places first. There was a two person band on that we're really good, really interactive and sung really well. The bar staff were down to earth and professional. The drink were great quality and the atmosphere was first rate. First time I've been but woul
Had the BEST weekend camping here, the owner and all the staff very hands on and constantly checking everything was ok. The atmosphere was amazing, shower/toilets were perfectly clean despite the amount of people. The food was outstanding. Thank you guys. 10/10 all round. Helen & Paul Barker
Spacious pitches, laid back, friendly staff (and locals who pitched in) lovely views walks short drive to array of shops, another park short walk away past the church. Plenty of toilet paper I think there was just once that that there wasn't Horses, donkeys, goats morning visit to our tent ๐Ÿ˜‚ Down si
What a gem, love this site and the concept, situated behind a village pub, this is definitely the way forwards. Great sized gravel pitch with its hook up and own tap, depending size & which way you put your van in, longer water and electrical cable may be needed. (Pitch 5). The pub was fantastic, co
I think I've been hiding under a rock for years because I'd never heard of this place. Wow what a pub, the food was really good, beer garden was fantastic with great views over the countryside. Great for kids it has a play area, football pitch and animals. They have an outside kitchen serving pizzas
1st time at this pub, the pub and atmosphere were very nice and relaxing, staff were so lovely. Food was great, I couldn't eat al of mine neither could my husband. Well worth the money. Real homemade chips too which were worth the trip on its own. Will definitely be returning maybe have a small plat
We came here on recommendation, I ordered pie of the day which was steak and ale, we sat in the garden, when mine arrived the mash was cold, I tried putting gravy on it and it helped a little, the pie didn't have much meat in it either, pastry was nice, the veg was cabbage, 1 piece of carrot, choppe
We stayed on site for one night and ate in the pub. Paul, the new owner, has done a cracking job of sprucing the place up and adding extra facilities. The site was gently sloping and we mentioned to Paul that we hadn't bought levelling ramps for our VW. He lent us some that a previous camper had lef
