The prices are reasonable and the service is okay. I enjoyed the food but it wasn't amazing. I would go back especially if I had a large party of people as the dining area was spacious and relaxed.
LOVELY food especially nice setting for large parties, steak cooked to perfection. Great Church conversion just go for the scenery, lovely chairs and gothic feel to the place, but even better food.
Just had my leaving party yesterday for 60 people. Never thought there was a club it's brilliant quality place. Reserved an area for us, Staff are excellent, place is very clean and tidy, really good sound system for that place. Great for group parties as you can a special place. Bit expensive platters though but I did not worry as you always know you get what you pay for. Keep it up guys good work. Extremely happy from the first call to finish of the party. Highly recommended.
I went for our Christmas works do and its such a beautiful restaurant. Set in an old church it still retains the wonderful stain glass window and period type furnishings.
The food is lovely, including vegetarian choices too.
I'd recommend a try at this unusual setting.

A group of us from Our Lady of Grace School, Biddulph, went on Friday 20th July for a Year 6 leavers meal. We all had a fantastic time. The food was lovely and the service was great. A special thank you goes to Wayne Doyle and his staff for making the evening so good. The atmosphere was superb and we will be definitely going again.
Staff very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Had the three courses for £17.95. Special mention to the lovely homemade mushroom soup with generous portion of bread and butter. Nice surroundings, will be visiting again soon.
Although there was an issue with getting our drinks the food was excellent and the staff worked very hard to make our experience a good one. There was only 3 staff on and one was helping out and she worked lime a trooper. Don't know how they would of coped without her
Visited with 13 other family members for an evening meal, the food was lovely it all arrived reasonably quick could not fault anything. The staff were all very helpful and worked very hard to ensure we had a nice evening, the place itself was different and nice for a change, it was a freezing cold night but still very warm and cosy at this venue. Great!!!
I would like to give a huge thank you to all members of staff including Gary,Matt and all the waiting staff, for your outstanding food and service for my sons recent 18th birthday meal. All 16 persons present commented how lovely the food was presented and tasted.I would highly recommend The Church Restaurant to everyone.

My family and I frequently visit the Church for meals, decided to take a friend with me who had travelled up from Bristol for the week to a meal and read night.
She fell totally in love with place, our host for the night was as attentive as ever which always helps when introducing new potential customers.
Food as ever piping hot, served professionally with a smile, have just got to mention one of the new starts they have introduced there, Pineapple and Prawns, I was presented with half a of very juicy pineapple, filled with prawns and pineapple pieces and smothered with the smoothest rose marie sauce.
Light, refreshing, and very Moorish, hats of to its creator its a winner in my book and so worth a try.
Spoilt for choice on the selection of desserts as ever.
All in all we had a great night, at a very reasonable price.
Just want to say cheers to Gary for coming after me when we left without the Gluten free dessert I had ordered to take home and forgot to collect.
Had a Cracking night, thank you so much for making my friends first night there a memorable for all the right reasons.
PS Loving the new arrangement of furniture downstairs in the bar, makes it even more cosier.
Look forward to coming again soon.

I have visited this restaurant on several occasions now. But this is my first review. I thought the food was excellent, I only wish I could have managed to eat it all. The desert trolley looked very inviting, but unfortunately there was no way I could manage one, maybe next time.
I will certainly be coming back again.

I used to use the church on a regular basis. The service and food was excellent. Unfortunately the service went to an appalling stage I went back last weekend for the first time in approximately eight months and the service like the food was excellent. Advise is DONT LOSE the staff you have or you may lose your customers.
We have had a brilliant night at the church this evening. Food was lovely. Sevice was brilliant would definitely recommend. You need to go what a great place to go!
Have been eating here for many years because without doubt the best eaterie in Stoke by a country mile.
The setting, food, owner, service and staff are outstanding.
A place tucked away in Hanley. Lovely service and Goodwood not bad priced at all. I shall return check out the fillet steak and peppercorn sauce yum.
