The food was delicious, one of the nicest steaks I've had in a long time. The staff were lovely and the deserts were amazing! I would definitely recommend the banoffee pie!
18 fir tea last night including 5 kids all served at same time because they already had menus everybody enjoyed meals no complaints 3rd time iv been there defo wont be last steak to die fir x
Fantastic steak, melted in the mouth and the Haggis and black pudding starter is to die for. Staff are really friendly. Will be going again.
We came her on Saturday night for a birthday meal, there was 14 of us.
The food was lovely and everyone were happy with their meals.
Staff were great and friendly and everything we asked for was no problem.
Well done to the chef for getting all the food out at the same time and all the meals were cooked to perfection and hot.

Had lunch here today, the food was fabulous, could not fault a thing. The staff were brilliant and the restaurant is clean and cosy. Definitely recommend a visit, we will definitely be returning.
The quality of the food, the service and the incredible value for money price is unbelievable. This place deserves to be packed out. Just get yourselves down there!

I don't normally leave reviews but just had to say how lovely and friendly the staff are. We went today for fathers day as a treat from the kids. We ordered our dinner and my husband wasn't very well so he cancelled his meal they were so good about it then I asked if I could take mine home as hubby really wasn't well they said no problem they brought it out all wrapped and in a lunchbox. Nothing was to much trouble for them. Will definitely be going back when my hubby is better. Would highly recommend. Looking forward to eating there again soon.

fantastic food, fantastic service nice relaxing atmosphere. Took the wife for a steak after many recomendations to eat at this Steak House and i have to say i was not disappointed in any way. i would Highly recomend The Saracens Head to anyone who loves thier Steak. Thankyou for an enjoyable evening and we will deffinately be comeing back again.

We had a pre dinner drink in the bar having let staff know we had a table booked. Fantastic service being taken to our table once we walked through. Starters arrived and were generous and delicious. The ribs aren't for the faint hearted. We had a steak each cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. We shared a sweet and will definitely be regulars
Had the 24oz steak .my god it was amazing .. cerainly be coming here again .. the manager served us 1st then the waitress ..excellent both of them ..the whole experience was fantastic ..

I visited this amazing steakhouse with the wife and my son tonight me and my partner had the 8oz steakhouse burger with chips and a side of onion rings may I just add this comment bloody amazing my son had a 2 course meal with pudding absolutely amazing food and definitely will be back at some point.
The staff were absolutely outstanding , polite, very professional, this steakhouse has entertainment on aswell at weekends with kids being allowed in til 10 I can not fault this restaurant one but Emma and her team are absolutely awesome very welcoming and friendly which is hard to come by at most restaurants this one deserves more than 5 stars absolutely friendly too.
Will be back for another meal soon and I will also see you in December 2023 with my 2023 winning solo take care I will see you all soon thanks for your amazing work absolutely incredible.
Family owned, independent pub that deserves support as they are clearly focused on quality.
We visited, in passing, from out of town. Honestly weren’t too sure from first impressions, the sun attracting a crowd out the front, but so glad we did stay to eat. The food was outstanding. Quality rump steak cooked to perfection! The sides were a welcome change with dauphinoise potatoes, black pudding and haggis as options. The black pudding the best we’ve ever tasted, a real thick cut, cooked perfectly crisp and not at all greasy.
A nice chilled atmosphere which deserved to be busier (Thursday evening). Excellent service from friendly professional staff.
Highly recommend, which does not come often from us.

Wow! Hubby and I are both quite local to this place, but even he mentioned that he hadn't been inside this building for over 30 years!! We definitely won't be leaving it that long for the next visit.
VERY impressed with the whole visit from start to finish.
A lovely warm welcome from Ashleigh, plus she took the time to talk to us at our table. All the staff are very polite and extremely friendly, whilst maintaining a high level of service and professionalism. They all spoke so clearly and concisely... this really does put the visitor at ease, as (subconsciously) you know your meal is going to arrive exactly as you ordered (no misunderstandings/ miscommunications like other food outlets where clarity may not be at the top of the customer service list).
Lovely relaxed decor, with a shabby-chic feel.
Anyway, superb quality steaks, cooked perfectly.
Followed by sticky toffee pudding to absolutely die for.
Can't wait to visit again. We'll take our daughter and her fella next time :-)

Called here for Sunday lunch..I'm really surprised the pub wasn't packed..food was excellent!!!..nice friendly staff and five empty plates says we were all satisfied..even took a little lunch back for the dog..would definitely call again..and try a steak next time ..
Just had 2 steaks for £20 Friday special.great meal we really enjoyed it definitely recommend go give it ago.

We called in last night for a midweek evening out.
We were met by staff who welcomed us to the restaurant and took us to our table.
We know the staff here and all of them are so friendly and very helpful it always a pleasurable experience when we visit.
We chose the Pizza deal and can I say we were not disappointed.
The pizza was so tasty and well presented.
The service was first class and we had an amazing evening.

The Saracens head steak house was so lovely, for a pub and steak house it's so nice. The staff were really polite and the lady was always there to help in any way at all. It's a pub where you could go for a meal with the family and then make a night of it, the larger is tasty and cheap and it's one of the cleanest pubs/place's to eat I've been in a long time. This is a place I would definitely go to again and my mum really enjoyed it a lot and had a good time there tonight. People you must give the SARACENS HEAD STEAK HOUSE IN MEIR ON SANDON ROAD A GO YOU'LL LOVE TYE DRINK/FOOD AND THE STAFF AND CUSTOMER'S ARE ALL VERY POLITE.
Lovely staff, really good food. My husband was on a low carb diet so the staff was very helpful and switched chips to salad and extra tomatoes and mushrooms. Really enjoyed it.
