I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Three Lock Place and Pub, and it was nothing short of amazing! This charming location offers a unique experience where you can witness small boats passing through the locks, creating a picturesque setting. The people in and around the place are incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights of this place is the traditional pub, which beautifully reflects the memories of the past while seamlessly blending in a touch of modernity. During our visit a couple of months ago, we were truly impressed with the food. We ordered both vegetarian and vegan dishes, and they were all up to the mark in terms of quality, quantity, taste and presentation. What made our visit even more memorable was the exceptional staff. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and the chef's culinary skills were nothing short of fantastic. The entire experience at Three Lock Place and Pub left us feeling content and satisfied. We can't wait to return to this wonderful establishment. The combination of delicious food, a picturesque location, and a friendly atmosphere makes it a must-visit. 👏🍽️🌟

Food was really nice. I had red pepper hummus, calamari and olives to start with then fish and chips for the main. The calamari was crispy and cooked perfectly, the artisan breads were nice and had a nice stone baked flavour to them. The portions were a good size, the only downside were the chips which I felt maybe they could do with some work or a new supplier for them. The fish however was tasty and perfect. We finished with a flat white which was top notch. The service was incredible, our waiter was friendly and welcoming and his product knowledge was really good. He also a couple times made sure that we didn’t have any allergies which i thought was reassuring.

We booked the table in advance, which was super easy to do. The staff were super friendly and knew the menu very well, gave some good recommendations. The food was delicious! I had the roast pork which was really good they did forget to bring out the crackling (which I think they did on purpose as they did the same with another table near us lol) I did also have the stuffing which was some of the best I have ever eaten. Will definitely come again :)

Really lovely place. We found it by chance trying to find somewhere for food on our way home, and what a stop! The setting by the locks is beautiful and the food served matched that - everything we had was so tasty. Friendly and efficient service too. I will definitely be back when we're in the area again.

Spectacular place directly at the 3 locks, superfriendly staff and nice meals. There was even live music at the bar, when we stayed there for dinner on a saturday night — well worth a visit, especially on a narrowboat trip.

I’ve been to the Three Locks a few times now. Service is sometimes hit-and-miss but the staff are friendly and the quality of the food is generally good. They have been accommodating with adjusting dishes to be vegan. A nice gastro pub with a relaxed, local feel.

Really excellent food, I’m slowly working my way through the menu with each visit. This is my go-to for taking visitors out for a meal. Lovely to watch the boats go through the lock as you eat or drink. A gorgeous place to sit with a pint on the long summer evenings.

I adore The Three Locks. There's something so tranquil and beautiful about the canals. My first visit here was in Summer, getting to sit out in the sun watching as canal boats traveled past. I had their Bangers and Mash for lunch and it was so good I recommended it to my partner when we went back in winter. Winter is different in many ways at this delightful pub. The fire is always lit and crackling away as you cosy up for some hearty warm food and a drink. I've never had a bad experience at this pub and it's one I'll always keep coming back to.

I have to say the fish pie tonight was amazing. Plenty of fish and prawns not the normal disappointment of trying to find the filling and full of flavour. Only bettered by one at Rick Steins although three times the price. The crushed potatoe topping was crusty and not soggy so obviously freshly cooked, not the oftern soggy top that has accustomed itself as an average standard to the modern pub culture. My choice of side, creamed spinach was also well worth trying. Had a beautiful punch of garlic too. Something many chefs seem scared to do in recent times. Besides the food the staff were also attentive, friendly and had pride in their work. Special thanks to Emma, Michelle (front of house) and not to forget the chefs.
