The White Horse

Had a meal here tonight with friends. Ok, so we waited quite a while for our meals but wow was it worth the wait. Delicious, hot, home cooked and very generous portions. Coffee was out of this world. Staff are happy, friendly and attentive. So what if we had a wait, no mass produced tasteless food here. The only reason I’ve dropped a star is because our first choice had sold out and the wait was a bit extreme. However, it wouldn’t stop me visiting again. Lovely clean, tasteful and comfortable. if I could have put 4.9 stars I would have.

Stunning everything! Modern, spotlessly clean room with good lighting, furniture and a super comfy bed. Lots of fluffy towels in the bathroom, plenty of hot water, rain shower and the most delicious vegan and cruelty-free Odyssey complimentary toiletries - also cotton wool pads and Q-tips. (It’s the little things that make all the difference). The pub and restaurant were similarly spotless and very comfortable. There was nothing to dislike! The restaurant is very pretty and the food (vegan) was thoughtful and delicious. Not even a sniff of a pasta dish thank goodness!! Leaving the best until last - the staff; they were all super sweet human beings and appeared to enjoy their work. They evidently communicated with each other and genuinely made my stay an absolute pleasure. I felt looked-after and welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble and I was always greeted with a friendly smile. Now, I’m trying to find reasons for a return stay. Thank you so much.

Really friendly and welcoming team of staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. The room was really fab, all of the toiletries we’re lush and the shower was top notch. The food was excellent too! And all for a great price. My only issue was the bed was too hard for me but that’s a personal preference and not a criticism hence 5stars. I would definitely recommend and we are now going to book to stay here again in July. Thanks White Horse team ☺️
