Heard many good things about Wo Ping. Recently tried it for the first time and unfortunately we didn’t think it was great. Also pretty pricey in comparison to other Chinese takeaway’s, rice/sides are not included with main dishes. Cost well over £30 for two mains and a starter.
Although the prawn toast was very good, one of the best I’ve had, but missing the sweet and sour sauce which often makes it!
Would give more stars than 5. Fantastic food, travel 4 miles avoiding local Chinese worth every mile traveled. Won't go anywhere else.
The best in the area - never had bad meal from here. Won't go anywhere else for a Chinese takeaway. They mixed our order up once with someone else's but the different dishes we hadn't ordered were still very tasty - one of the dishes we hadn't ordered was liver and onions ( obviously off the English section) but OH MY GOD it was THE BEST LIVER AND ONIONS I've ever tasted - totally authentic - although I don't know why I was surprised going y the usual high standard of food we get from there
After seeing reviews of Wo Ping on a northern echo article we just had to try and we were not disappointed food was gorgeous and the staff were amazing to talk to

Best Chinese takeaway in the north east food always amazing
A great takeaway. Always good food and service.
First time ordering from Wo Ping and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The munchies box was perfect along with the torpedo kind prawns and Cantonese style bbq duck. Will definitely be going through the whole menu. Worth it for collection only.
First time I have used this take away, and it won't be the last. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our meals. Curry sauce could have been a little hotter.

Tried this takeaway for the first time last night after being disappointed by others in my area. I called an order in and went to collect it. The order was ready on time, the food was hot and the choice and quality was amazing. This is definitely going to be my new takeaway and I would highly recommend it.
Nice food but I think it's a little overpriced, you get big enough portions to feed probably 2 people in most of their meals. Their Char sue chow main is amazing.
