Fab little pub in a hidden spot at the end of a cobbled street. Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, staff were very friendly... a few things not exactly spot on but when staff were told they were apologetic and sorted things out straight away. Lovely bowling green at the back. We will return!

The Nursery is a pub that, whilst recently having had a make over still has a foot in the past with its ornate panelled rooms. The meals they serve are good and the butties are, as they used to say was " to choke a donkey " I have used the Nurse for the last 40 years and under the new management (Chloe) it can only get better. All round, good beer and good grub and pleasant staff. Highly recommended..

Impromptu evening with friends and family this eve. Really lovely to go out and have friendly service from the staff who were wonderful. Thanks guys. We will def be back for the smiley, happy to help service, and the food (kids fish n chips, pulled pork flatbread, steak and onion sandwich) which hit the spot. Who doesn't want a choice of regular, fat, curly or sweet potato fries...

Bobbed in for a drink Sunday afternoon, ended up staying in the sunny beer garden for fantastic food. Great value and very kid friendly. New landlady Chloe made us all feel really welcome. Tip top!

Group of us hired the bowling green at this pub this afternoon and then followed this with meals inside. All agreed, good food, and very friendly staff. Look forward to repeating this in the future.

Great pub especially if you want to enjoy a nice drink, traditional interior and great beer garden over looking the bowling green the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I was underwhelmed by the food

Visited yesterday for lunch at around 2pm. The 2 young gentleman on shift were very friendly and accommodating. The pub is lovely and authentic and the food/drink was very nice and reasonably priced too. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Called in Tuesday lunch time for a couple of checky drinks. The bar staff were excellent, the drinks were spot on and at a good price, and the beef burger was one of the best burgers I have had for ages will definitely be calling back the next time I am in the area

First time dining here and it was very nice. Walked past plenty of times but never been in and today I'm glad I did. A fairly busy Saturday with lots of people in. We ordered food and it was cooked to an excellent standard. The steak and ale pie was lovely. Prices reasonable especially the 2 mains for £15.

First time having Sunday lunch here with mum dad and brother. Good selection of meats and the kitchen kept our choice for us as we had quite a.late booking. Pub had been v busy all day but a lovely gentleman in champion t-shirt (sorry didn't get ur name) cleaned table and set everything up nicely for us. Sam and Eamonn are excellent behind bar with good choice of wine. We will be back!
