Don’t mess about just go try the steaks. Impeccable. The lambs my favourite but these are truly beautiful steak served on the hottest rocks ever. Served in good time in a nice environment. Decent crowd and staff who care. Very refreshing for a pub experience nowadays. Can’t wait to come back. Reasonable prices too.

I was there with my son and two friends. We had a really good night and the food was great, we will be going there often as we really enjoyed it. The staff are really nice and friendly and the bonus is we live close by.

Don't normally use FB much but just had to say what a wonderful pub this is - had Sunday dinner there and it was absolutely spot on. Sophie the Waitress is brilliant at her job and also very cheeky ha ha. Got to give Sarah 10/10 for her cooking also. Highly recommended :-)

What a steak!! Up there with the best ive had. Top 3 ever! Well priced and the stones and slab served on brilliant. Well presented and the starters yummy. Nice atmosphere too and staff very nice. Cant wait to visit again

I took my father her yesterday a lovely atmosphere,great staff also lovely food. the steak on stone was juicy and tender. garlic green beans went well together with the flavours, A brilliant night. The halloumi burgers were enjoyed by the latecomers.
Fab home cooked food and generous portions. Kids loved the ice cream included with their meals!

Just what this pub needed. Mike and his team are a fresh of breath air to the place. Great atmosphere play your own music juke box. The wife had the Sunday roast which she said was one of the best she has had in a pub. I had the 5 tapas style nibbles and they were very tasty and great portion sizes. If you haven't tried this place before give it a go, and if you have tried before and wasn't impressed please try again you won't be disappointed.
First time I have had the food in the Horseshoe since it has changed hands but it won't be the last. Food was great and well priced. Good service and nice staff.
First time in for a while, new management team so things look on the up, enjoyed the beer,and service at the bar was fine. We will be back for another look in the next few days, not tried the food yet but definitely will. 👌

Absolutely fabulous.
Family group of 6 and we were all very impressed.
Mine was a rib-eye steak which was server on a hot stone plate so I could cook myself to perfection. The steak was spot on.
We would definitely recommend and would return again 👍.

The Horseshoe was refurbished recently and they did a really good job on it. Fortunately, they didn't mess with the beer and this remains one of the best pints of Unicorn around. The food here is just fantastic. Massive portions and cooked perfectly. The lava-stone steaks you sort of cook yourself are fab. The half-roast chicken is the biggest pub meal I think I've ever had but then so is everything else. Sharing nachos are also well worth a try.
The staff are all very friendly, as are the more colourful locals (you know who you are") . Whether you want a quite drink in the snug, join in the Thursday quiz, Play Your Cards Right or try the meat draw, you'll have a very pleasant evening.
If I was to criticise anything, the occasional guest beer runs out far too quickly!
This place is absolutely fantastic. The food was excellent and the portion sizes are big. If we are every this way again we will definitely be going back, the Mrs even said on our way back to our hotel that it would be worth booking an hotel here again just to go back.
had a great night. met my northen cousins. great atmosphere. hosts made you really welcome. great ales and the music was good. next time up i will sample there great selection of foods. warm and cosy pub to spend the night away.
The food in this pub is amazing we had the chicken skewer which came with salad pitta chips and garlic sauce my son had 8oz fillet steak on hot stone with chips and salad the portions are huge and such good quality meat the staff were amazing considering they had a big party in who were late! They were great with us defo reccomend this place to anyone and such good value 😀😀
The food is amazing and great value with a great selection of beers to wash it down. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The meat raffle in a Friday is good fun.

Always excellent food and excellent service. Had to book our table weeks in advance as its so popular.
