Lovely pub with the feel of a proper country pub. Located at the very end of the 42b bus route. Think I came here about 40 years ago. I knew it was a Good Beer Guide regular; 35 years according to the A frame outside. Also known as The Thief's neck. ( Davenport family could hang poachers on behalf of the King!). An excellent Robinsons establishment. Great pint of Dizzy Blond. Pint of Madri. £10.30 for the two. Beer garden to front and rear.

Fantastic pub. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. The type of pub you stumble on by chance go in for one pint and stay all afternoon. I can't recommend enough.

Oh my goodness! I've eaten the very best Sunday roast EVER!!!! Everything on my plate was outstanding. The beef melted in my mouth. The vegetables were divine (especially the cauliflower cheese) and the gravy ooooooh yum! This is the place to go for a Sunday roast without a doubt. Oh and make sure you book as they get busy. The service too was fantastic. Honestly I couldn't fault it x

I have been coming to this pub for many years and it never disappoints. This evening we visited, it was lovely to sit in the sunshine at the front, good food at a reasonable price, great hospitality and the dog can come too! Perfect thank you

Great place to go for a quick pint of Unicorn on the lovely outside seating area in the summer, or a great Sunday roast. Always welcoming and child friendly, great family pub with warm atmosphere.

Staff are really nice. Lovely little courtyard outside as well as the garden. Even though we asked for food that wasn't being served that day they obliged

We came based on some Friend’s recommendation and what I great visit it was. The Sunday Roast was simply superb. All three of us went for the beef which was quite literally cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend to anyone, Yvonne and her team were so welcoming x
