Amazing place to work. Love working here. Makes working a second job so much easier when Its within a really friendly workplace , with fantastic management and staff and a really lovely character pub. The food is amazing too, another perk of the job getting to try the home cooked dishes off the menu. This is really a pub and restaurant that welcomes anyone with the bonus of being dog friendly Always a mixed bag of ages and personalities with the cliental and real homely feel Loads of exciting changes happening in the beer garden ready for summer Best pub in Stockport

First time in there though my son rates it highly. But I wasn't disappointed at all Met up with a long lost friend who's been in Oz for over 30 years and another great friend and we had lunch which was reasonably priced and totally delicious and drinks all afternoon. The pub has a great atmosphere with an enormous beer garden out back A real hidden gem, with friendly bar staff - I'll be back again soon.

Legend of a pub! Dropped my phone down one of the slits in the decking outside like the numpty i unfortunately and even whilst it being rammed all the staff were more than accommodating even going as far as the owner retrieving it for me with sticky tape and a coat hanger! so yeah a massive thank you!

Sat in with the Monday night jazz band when the regular bass player couldn't make it. Lovely pub, friendly, and old fashioned in a good way. And the jazz band, who play every Monday night, are great!!

What a lovely pub... Totally dog friendly and the staff were amazing. My partner had the shepherd's pie that's in the picture. We can't thank the staff enough for the welcome and fuss they made of our dog also. We don't live in the area but the reviews and the fact that they are dog friendly made us visit this pub. If we are ever in Stockport in the future we will definitely visit again. Thank you... From myself my partner and Peanut our dog. They don't have a car park fyi

I left a five star review seven or eight years ago and have never had cause to rescind any part of it. I am mildly surprised to see that yesterday I apparently replaced that review with another five star review without any comment (likely due to my own ineptitude). I don't recall the exact detail of the original however; the staff and service are the best, the beer is well kept and the food is great. What more does one need? 😁

Ric's first visit to this great Robinson's pub. A regular in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Famous for the food. Sunday roast at £10.50 gets really busy. .. Already busy at 12.30 on a cold February Wednesday afternoon. Yasser Arafic having a great pint of Dizzy Blond. Ric on Veltins. Fantastic heritage interior and a good beer garden. Found just off the market next to ASDA car park entrance. Well worth a visit. I like their music as well.

We were passing through and stopped in for the Sunday roast. We were not disappointed with the generous portions, the good value and the warm, traditional pub atmosphere. My only complaint is that I was too full to try one of their puddings.

Beautiful old public house with lovely staff. The food was bang on and the place was very tidy. Will be visiting again. Great pub to start off if you are visiting as a tourist as there are so many attractions nearby including the market.

Been years since I frequented this pub but tonight we ventured out from Sale to see our friend play Bass with the Blues Blasters. Checked with the landlord (I presume) what time kick off was and he was very helpful. We went away and had a rubbish meal in the centre of Stockport and then returned for the gig at about 8.00. The service from the bar was quick, friendly and the atmosphere really conducive to a good night out. The stage was at the back of the pub in a covered area with plenty of seating for all and a perfect place for bands to perform Had a great night in rockin or should I say Bluesin surroundings listening to some great music...and well done to all the staff and the chaps in the band for tonight.

First time visit on a Sunday late lunch at 2.30pm. My son and I had the roast beef lunch which was very good at a great price. Home style roast beef lunch, great service, good beer (dizzy blonde) which I think is the only decent beer Robinsons brewery do (I'm sure others may disagree). Really impressed and will visit again for a Sunday roast.

A rare sunny evening allowed us to sit outside drinking. Excellent Robbies bitter. Decided to eat as well. The food was good, though one of our number had to ask for a doggie bag to complete the eating experience at home!

Came here with my wife after she had visited solo on a recommendation. I found the food to be very tasty. I had the focaccia starter and the cheese and onion pie. The starter was very colourful and delicious and the chips were crispy and so tasty, with skin on. The pie was very very good too. My wife had the crab and shrimp starter, which was very tasty, and red mullet in a salsa. The vegetables were varied, fresh and crunchy, lovely! If you drink zero beer, the Veltins was very pleasant. The courtyard was a lovely setting in which to eat and the service very prompt and attentive.

Not a bad little pub at all! Lots of small rooms. Very traditional feel. Robinson's beer on offer, so don't expect anything fancy. One cool thing was walking thought the bar to get to one room! (It's the only way!) This pub has been arround for years. Should give you the real Stockport experience.

I've been for an evening with live music, and also for Sunday lunch, both times have been really enjoyable. The only recommendation would be a veggie Sunday lunch option, ..and a few more veg with the Sunday lunch. We will go again
