All of the ales were off but I know this is what pubs struggle with these days. The waitress was happy to change my ale to another ale. It doesn't matter the ale because the problem isn't the brewery but for context, it was Wherry to Maldon Gold. I don't mark it down because I know that pubs don't s
Lovely pub, fantastic outdoor area, with very nice staff. Very fast service. Best steak and ale pie I've ever had and I've eaten alot of pies in my time !!! Just wish I lived closer.
I liked it a lot. The sausage n mash with onion gravy was spot on. My fish n chip batter was very over cooked...but every one else's was fine. There is plenty of free parking and easy to get to
Visited this recently refurbished pub for Sunday lunch. Never went before to know what it was like but its been refurbished to a high standard. Very smart and modern while keeping what look like original features. As many other reviewers have said, the food here is good. The Sunday roast was hot, a
We visited The Old Kings Head today before driving home, after being recommended it by some people who live locally. We didn’t reserve a table (maybe we should have) but the staff were very welcoming and found somewhere for us to sit. We had a pork roast each and a portion of cauliflower cheese, whi
Had a lovely Steak and Ale and my daughter had a wonderful Classic Burger with crispy fries. We sat outside in the patio area and enjoyed the wonderful sunny day and tasty good food. The staff is always friendly and since we brought our two well behaved dogs, they got a bowl of water and dog treats

The staff are welcoming, attentive and good humoured. The beer is good and the food is fantastic. My only concern is that space is limited, so if you want a table, book!
Can’t fault our first visit. Great service, lovely Sunday roast, portions very generous! Deserts really tasty too! Drinks came quickly & no delays in anyone taking our order. Would recommend and return!
Lovely bright old pub that’s now an excellent restaurant. Staff are super friendly and helpful, and the food is top rate.
I had a lovely evening out with the family, the food was lovely and the service was fantastic! Our server sam made sure we were well looked after! We will definitely be coming back
What a lovely English country pub with extremely friendly staff. I joined some regulars for the second dog walk 🐕 this morning and was treated to some fine weather, great views and wonderful company 😀 . The full English breakfast was pretty spectacular too.😋
We booked a table to head for a late lunch after a long walk through the beautiful surrounding countryside. Staff were friendly and a quick service was provided from start to finish. Was impressed with the vegan option of roasted cauliflower and hassleback potatoes which was divine!
Don't usually write reviews but for Old King's Head on this occasion it's a must!! After another venue cancelled on us on the morning of our birthday celebrations, OKH stepped up to the mark and went above and beyond for us to make our day even more perfect than we had imagined. Two hours before o
