This is a busy locals pub. We were renting a cottage for a week in the village. They were very welcoming. The food was excellent and the service was good to. A very friendly place, I would definitely go there again. Nice people
Lovely traditional cornish village pub, who can't do enough for you. Meal was superb
A great old pub, very good food, service was brilliant, would highly recommend if in the area.
Friendly proper traditional village pub.
We had a couple of courses of food here.
Great tasting pub grub very reasonably priced.
We will definitely be back.
Great pub....great beer....AMAZING PIE. After staying locally for the last 3 nights, this place knocked spots off every other pub we've eaten in since we arrived. AND DID I MENTION THE PIE!!!!!!!
A great welcome by the new owners on a very wet night.
Log fire was burning, good food and polite locals who made us feel welcome on our anniversary.
We would come back.
Great local pub that both us and our Glamping guests love visiting.
Lovely village pub, great food & welcoming friendly staff
Just as a country pub should be!
Delicious food and a friendly welcome. We arrived on a Thursday evening and the pub was busy with locals. A wonderful atmosphere and you got the sense that it was the hub of the village.
There were three of us and we ordered fish & chips, soup x 2, onion rings and breaded mushrooms. The fish & chips were a huge helping, the soup was a 'warm hug in a bowl' (even though a starter it was more than enough along with the fresh bread), onion rings and mushrooms were both home made and delicious. One beer, 2 soft drinks, whole meal cost just under £40.00
Should we ever be in the area again, we'll definitely visit again.
Went with friends for dinner and had a lovely evening. A very friendly family run village pub with an interesting selection of real ales. The meals were pub classics well prepared and very tasty. Not a gastro pub but excellent fare served in large portions. Well worth a visit!
