Went to the River House for a family meal. We were a large party, though that did not affect our service time The design of the place had a relaxed style, always something to catch the eye without feeling crowded. The large glass windows gave the place a large open feel. The staff were attentive, taking not of everyone allergies and of needed, checking parts of recipes for specific ingredients. Food which were glutton free etc. Were clearly marked when brought to the table with a cute little flag. Indeed there was an entire glutton free free menu. Oh and the food was not bad either ;)

Such an amazing place, for both decor, location, service and food. We stopped on passing and were very overwhelmed by how nice it was. The service was amazing, very friendly and very attentive. The food we had was so tasty and other dishes we saw going round, also looked amazing. Can't wait to visit again. 5*

Wheelchair accessible by a long gradual slope into a level entrance. Staff were superb! Table height was good for wheeling under. Average size wheelchair accessible toilet with rails, small sink and red emergency cord. Food was fantastic, a few vegan options including a really delicious chocolate mousse dessert!

Sat 21/10/23 enjoyed the curry soup but a bit too dear & the wee type of roll was a wee bit tough but the butter was not hard but soft enough to spread on it 👍 My main course was beef lasanya & it came piping hot🔥 👍 & the garlick bread was very nice even though it was only toasted on the one side BUT as u can see the small tub of lettuce 🥬 etc.. was the bits that can stick in one's throat, so i just picked out the other items of food that accompanied it & ate them. It would have been nice of the waiter if he had asked me if i wanted some parmesan cheese sprinkled over it, but my friend Janie said "you only get that in an Italian restaurant" but they were great full enough to bring me a small bowl of it for me to help myself from it. Oh!! before I forget- I had to ask as to where my lattie was? & a waitress went & fetched it & my friend once again spoke up & said "you better taste it incase it's not hot enough" which i did & it was only WARM - reason being - it had been sat out for 5mins before i got it, so she took it away & brought me a fresh hot one icl. another wee chocolate with it. But despite all that - it's certainly worth a visit & I will pop back in again in the future.

Food was excellent. Staff were lovely but we had a problem with ordering. One of the wrong sharer platters arrived and we had to ask multiple times for my coke. Don't let this put you off though. Food more than makes up for this lapse and the grounds are lovely ☺️ I would come here again.

We stopped on the way to Inverness. A surpisingly pretty spot, with a view of the castle and a small lake adjoining. We declined the restaurant, where everyone looked more formally dressed than we were, and opted for the bar. Great, friendly, and attentive service in a very attractive and sparkly "bar," which was more a casual dining area. Food was enjoyable and good value. We have soup and sandwich combos and enjoyed both. Tea was served in a pot, and both arrived very quickly. Would happily return.

Absolutely beautiful interior design and seemed popular with the locals • Eggs royale (smoked salmon, poached eggs with hollandaise atop toasted muffins with watercress) • The works - toasted toast bloomer with butter, haggis, black pudding, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, back bacon, sausage, potato scone, baked beans and poached eggs

Really nice ambience. A bit expensive but food was good. More choice for veggies on the a la carte menu so will definitely be back. Good for a coffee and snack when whiling away some time waiting to do pickup from the DVLA around the corner 😀
