My husband and I stayed here in October, we booked through Airbnb. Beautiful, comfortable, home away from home! One of the best Airbnb experiences I've ever had. The location is great! Walkable to the shops (if you don't mind the hill), right next to the castle and church, a stone's throw away from the oldest pub in Stirling. We arrived via train and it was a 5 minute walk from the train station (up the hill - I mention this only in case you need an accommodation for this). The room was perfect. Had all the amenities you could need. Really beautiful and spacious bathroom. Very comfortable and large bed. The overall highlight would definitely be Colin himself, he is an incredible host! Breakfast was literally the best I had on my entire trip. He also had local recommendations and info. When our taxi didn't show to take us to the car hire place, he drove us there, which was so incredibly kind of him. Would highly recommend Colin's place to anyone traveling to Stirling. Beautiful, historical, and 10/10 overall.

I stayed here in July. The place is beyond wonderful, pristine, clean, quiet, lovely owners, the most amazing English breakfast I've ever had. But the best parts where the cute dogs always greet you when you come home. Truly the experience of a warm home, This is the place I will stay every time I visit Stirling.

Just excellent!!! Unusual building which looks a bit like a former pub but interior décor is light and airy. Really good, friendly service. Lovely people. Absolutely superb food from an interesting menu. Interesting starters, lovely mains and sandwiches. They do good bottled beers if you want one too. If we were in the area again, we would definitely eat here another time. Desserts and cakes look far too good!! All in all a really, really good meal for four people on a Sunday.

A gorgeous place with attentive service and top notch food! It's like you are entering a cozy and beautifully decorated cottage and not a restaurant. We had the scrambled eggs and poached eggs on toast and they were literally the best eggs we’d ever tasted. The service was incredible and friendly - really can’t praise this place enough. This cafe is worth a visit !!

We popped in here for some tea when we got caught in the rain, and we're very glad we did. The food is tasty and the staff is warm and friendly. This shop is well taken care of, and the fireplace makes it feel like a lovely little home.

Food here is always delicious. Fresh and plentiful. You can go in for just coffees/teas and amazing cakes as well. Eclectic decor inside, very relaxed and cosy. Beautiful seated area outside, garden full of colourful plants and shrubs. There is also a small gift shop inside.

The Smithy is the coziest and most welcoming cafe in Stirling. They have delicious food, including an incredibly cheap soup of the day (always tasty with great rolls), and the coffee always exceeds expectations. I've become a regular here. The atmosphere is great, too. Couches or tables downstairs with a fireplace, with a more 'restaurant' feel upstairs. And the garden out back is so lovely and peaceful when the weather's nice!

The Smithy is a beautiful, small coffee-shop just a stone's throw away from the castle and right next door to the oldest pub in Stirling, The Settle Inn. The owners are delightful, the fireplace is warm and cozy, and the food is delicious. (I highly recommend the chocolate cake with some ice cream - amazingly good - but the lunch/dinner menu is also incredible.) It's such a nice, gentle place to stop over for a quick scone or a bigger meal and with wifi, it's perfect for a study break. I cannot recommend the Smithy more!! Best coffee shop in Stirling.
