Popped in for an early dinner with my two young boys. The food was absolutely delicious! We all ordered pasta dishes, they were fresh and tasty, and nice sized portions too. The price very reasonable, 2 1/2 main meals (they kindly did a half portion for my youngest who didn't fancy anything on the kids menu) and a drink each, just over £30. We found the staff friendly, and accommodating. Our waiter spoke to the children, and not just to me, which is wonderful. We will be back, and I will be recommending. Thank you for a lovely dinner.

Great little restaurant, with attentive and professional service. The pizzas were tasty and the the deserts were also very good. Not too expensive either and definitely one of the best locations in the local area.

Our first meal at Mammal Mia was a great evening. A varied menu at a reasonable cost. We were warmly welcomed and the service was relaxed and attentive. We all enjoyed our meals. I particularly enjoyed my chocolate souffle dessert. We will definitely go again in.

Had the pleasure of eating here tonight. As a single traveller I am always looking for somewhere that provides a great service and are happy to host a single booking. This place didn't disappoint. The food was excellent and the service very attentive. Looking at the number of full tables, I will also add that it must be a hit with the locals as well. Next time I am in the area, I will be back.

Came here as a party of 3. Lovely small cosy place, love the style. We shared some Starters and then a pizza and pasta, including options of the special board. Everything was DELICIOUS. The Mussels we had were the best, juiciest Mussels ive ever had! The special pasta was also out of this world. You could tell everything was homemade with high quality ingredients. Good drinks selection too. Everything was very reasonable priced. One of the best parts of the night was the owner/manager. He had a great energy about him and we had a lovely chat at the end of the night. It was the perfect end to a great evening and we can't wait to come back!

Delicious food. We visited twice in our three days here (the time we went somewhere else was an error). Truly excellent Italian food. Just go. You won’t regret it.

The best pizza, sweet, coffee and wine I have had in a very long time. A great menu, fantastic service and super friendly owner and all at a not too expensive price. I would highly recommend Mamma Mia.

Small artesian Italian Ristorante on the main road of Steyning. Good selection of pizzas and risottos all presented very well. Fair selection of wines. All friendly with a strong, loyal customer base with speaks volumes! Also provides a take away.

In a charming corner of town, An Italian gem can be found. A restaurant filled with delight, Where flavors dance and dreams take flight. The staff, warm and inviting, Guides me through this Italian delight. The menu, a symphony of fare, Leaves me spoilt for choice, unaware. From pasta to pizza, each dish a delight, The flavors burst, a culinary fight. With wine in hand, enhancing the feast, This Italian escape is a true feast. Dessert arrives, a sweet finale, Pana Cotta, a heavenly rally. Memories made, forever treasured, This Italian gem, a true culinary pleasure. It is really worth it to eat in this very good restaurant.

We discovered this lovable restauraunt while walking the South Downs way. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere so much that we have since been back several times despite it taking us over an hour to get there from Southampton! We see it as an adventure for special occasions. Tonight we took our sister and her husband for the first time and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed starters of white bait, baked mozarella and garlic bread. For our mains we stuck with the classics; carbonara, lasagna and mushroom risotto. And for dessert we all enjoyed the chocolate soufflé on the specials board! My husband enjoyed the draft beer on tap while our brother enjoyed a merlot with his meal. Everyone enjoyed a limonchello after except me as I am a tee total and designated driver! We love the owner who is a friendly chap from Rome, he always makes us feel welcome and takes good care of us. We drove home full of good comfort food and in high spirits! A beautiful night out! Would highly reccomend.

Lovely independent Italian restaurant. The host is very welcoming and friendly without being overpowering. The tables are well placed and not too close to one another. There was a great choice of anti-pasti, pasta and main dishes. We all found the food delicious with the only complaint being that the tagliatelle alla filette had very little steak in it (this is the only reason I’m going with four stars instead of five). We’ll definitely be back.

Smashing little Italian restaurant in the middle of Steyning high street. Great chat and service from the waiter and the food was a decent size. No pizza on the menu which at first was annoying, but forced me to go for something different which turned out to be really nice 👍

Had a pretty good explanation and loved the pizza. The sauce on the pizza was fantastic and the garlic break tasted just right.
