Walked past this lovely cafe in Stevenage town centre. We had chorizo wrap, English breakfast and egg Benedict. They even have our favourite lemonade. Great value for a nice weekend brunch. We'll definitely go back again.

Beautiful Avo on sourdough toast with bacon & poach eggs. My eggs were perfect & it was smoked streaky bacon, high quality food is served. They have a variety of dishes on the menu all at reasonable prices, all the dishes being brought out looked delicious. Also my tea was served in a pot with loose tea, and a filter was in the pot too so you pour delightful tea. Restaurant is very clean & spacious, toilet is clean & staff helpful. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch.

Chateau Cafe stands out in town because of its French style decor and seating. The menu items are the usual coffee shop suspects like eggs Royal and benedict but with a healthy twist of smashed avocado. They also do gluten free cakes and a good choices of teas. Ordered the avocado royale because the Basil dressing sounded good but it turns out to be a typo because it was balsamic dressing. The tea menu was more detailed on the wall compared to the printed menu so if I had seen that I would have ordered the green tea. Overall, not bad.

Popped in for breakfast, both food and coffee were excellent. It doesn't mention it on the menu, but they do have gluten free bread available too.

Great place to get a break from the standard high street coffee shops. Light and airy, clean and staff very polite. Good selection of coffee, cake and vegan food. About 18 tables inside and 4 tables seating outside.

Nice little cafe with a wide range of vegan items, including cakes. I'm yet to try the cakes, but I have high hopes as they look delicious. The sandwich (Egyptian toastie) I had was nice, but on reviewing the menu, not quite as described, though I wouldn't hold it against them.

Usually the following Saturday after payday, I visit Chateau Café to treat myself during my lunch break at my part-time job. The staff seem energised and happy to be there, with extremely quick service. Highly recommend the vanilla milkshake, with or without protein. The prices are the only fault, but what can I expect during this cost of living crisis, plus I don’t mind visiting only once or twice a month to satisfy myself. Also on numerous occasions I have also invited friends to lunch here and they’ve adored the food.

I stopped for tea and cake in this sweet little cafe, lots of space it didn't feel cramped and overcrowded. Lots of different cakes and noticed a few Gluten free and vegan options too.

They serve the best coffee in the town.... Liberty Coffee Co and are cheaper than the big chains. The food is good quality and lots of healthy options. Personally I find the decor a bit white but otherwise I would recommend.

Went about a week ago, such a cute inside seating area. I got an iced coffee, they have a nice range of plant based milks, im not vegan but i love coconut milk with my coffee. I also had a vegan brownie and it was delicious! All the food looked really good so would like to go back and try some more!

Fantastic coffee shop/cafe, normally only have tea & cake but tried the breakfast menu today and it was amazing. Top quality fresh food and the service was impeccable. Will definitely always go there when in Stevenage.

What can I say?...Best Place to sit, drink, eat and relax in Stevenage! The French setting with paintings on the wall and the great taste of Jazz music makes me feel like I'm back in my home, Paris France! The only negative thing I would say, is the walls. They are very sharp, like it wasn't sanded down properly, went to swipe my hand to put my jacket down and cut my finger which did bleed. Other then that, love this place and will keep coming back
