A great Indian restaurant on the Roebuck Inn site in Stevenage. The food is fantastic - very fresh and relatively light. The Deccan Lamb starter was delicious. I had a chicken Chettinad and a spinach Dal with roti for main, which was all brilliant. The bread especially was perfect. The staff were friendly and attentive. Prices were great for the quality of food. I'd highly recommend it if you're staying at The Roebuck, or if you live nearby.

Good food and, because it has an atmosphere a bit different to most Indian restaurants, such as being within a hotel, I enjoy visiting from time to time. Service is good but I don't appreciate a service charge being added anywhere, so they have lost a star for that.

For me this is the best Indian restaurant and takeaway in Stevenage. Not your average menu. You can tell the dishes are made from scratch with fresh ingredients, and are not heavy and oily. Great vegetarian options.

I absolutely LOVE this place. It's the only Indian restaurant we go to. The food is so authentic. Beautiful fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked every time. A special mention must go to Andrew, the manager, an absolute gem!!

Felt like the restaurant attached to a hotel but now we have got the negatives out of the way everything else is positive. I loved the food. I found the variety good and it didn't feel like an Indian that gets everything by bulk in plastic. The meal was obviously made for me. Decorating the poppadom with tiny pieces of salad was quirky and pretty. It made the poppadom slightly soggy in places but balance that with the presentation. The food was wonderful. Tasty, fresh and prepared for me. Either they liked us or they always do that. More of a real Indian restaurant than most. I wish they did the same with the desserts, homemade Kulfi is worth driving 30 miles for. I'm glad I didn't need dessert.

Used to be nice, now not so great. I had occasionally enjoyed Indian food at Nirvana for more than a couple of years now - and this was the only place that offered authentic Indian food in the area. However, we visited recently - and were not that thrilled with the food we had. Maybe they had a new Chef - maybe just a bad day. Still rating higher as on many previous occasions we had enjoyed the food and service here.

This is the best restaurant for Indian cuisine within the town and around. Amazing food, nice preparation, starters are so tasteful and not to be missed. I have ordered takeaway and opted for dine in couple of times, the service is as good as food. Certainly my place to go whenever i feel like having authentic Indian food.

Lovely food and great, friendly service. It is a shame that it is often so quiet, but it is like a hidden gem in Stevenage! Will visit again.

Great food and it is actually Indian. Some restaurants call them selves Indian but are Bangladeshi who use food colour and boiled food. This place has good ambience, great service and great taste. Try their chicken dum biryani excellent. Manager is I think south Indian guy and he was very helpful when choosing our dishes and what level of spice we liked. We are from India so we always ask for extra spicy. And I had no complaints. It was cooked to our taste and perfection.

Don't let you be put off just because is in a restaurant. The quality of food is very good. Possibly one of the best local Indian restaurants I've been so far. It's not cheap but but even not impossible. I would say everything was fresh prepared. Our mains was simply good, the starters was OK though a bit soaked of oil. We didn't go for the dessert so can't comment. As for the interior, the place was really nice and in line with the cuisine style.

Nice Indian restaurant with some different dishes from usual Indian restaurants. Ample car park, nice subtle decoration pleasant staff not too crowded. Had large party here and a foursome. Both went well and not too expensive. Separate bar area for meet and greet before or after.
