We walked a long way to get to this pub and when we arrived we were starving! It turned out that the pub was just about to host a wake and they weren’t really serving food. The owner was so kind and said she would make us lunch, she could easily have turned us away. Our sandwiches were great and came with the added bonus of chips!

Idyllic location next to the chapel of steeple Morden near to Ashwell and Bassingbourne. Outdoor seating area for the pub is available facing the sunon summer afternoons. Splendidly relaxing as a venue.
Enjoyed meeting the pub owner and trying some new beers. The burgers were big and delicious with salad, carrot salad and fries.
Great to see the pub serving food again. Good food, great value!

Hadn't been since before covid began so was surprised I could get a booking for Sunday roast on the day. Wasn't until we turned up that we found out the owners had changed, it was very quiet and we began to suspect the worst. No need to worry, the triple roast; gammon, beef and chicken couldn't be faulted. Huge portions and super value. Did not disappoint. Only ask...cauliflower cheese too please for our next visit, which we will be planning soon.

Fantastic pub , food was imo all fresh , portions were excellent , was always being asked if enough and would we like more , landlord very pleasant , and you girls serving were so nice and helpful . Would highly recommend, and will definitely return when in area next .

The Sunday roast here is amazing. Best roast dinner i think i have ever had! The meat was perfect and great sized portions, with all you could want. All 6 of us loved it and will be returning for sure! Thank you!
A recent overhaul in all aspects has brought a contemporary feel whilst still retaining the traditional charm.

With the passion that's clearly evident from the landlord and his team this pub deserves to do very well.
The pub is reasonably inside so I would recommend booking in advance. The exception to this would be on a sunny day as the pub benefits from an enormous rear garden.
Friendly staff and very reasonable prices for the portion sizes.
Great Sunday roast in both senses - delicious food (I went for the mixed roast of lamb, beef, gammon and turkey) with enormous portions. Make sure you have a small breakfast! Lovely staff served us with a smile :-)
Havnt been in the waggon for a few years but will definitely be going back again! Me and my daughter popped in after a little dog walk! Friendly staff, dog friendly environment and even put on some entertainment to keep my daughter occupied

The only thing I could fault was the toilets needs a make over and quiet sure that will be done very quickly
