Having unexpectedly found myself needing a place to stay, a last minute booking at the Sea Trout was a great decision. The Staff were so helpful and kind. My room was lovely overlooking the garden. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Big mugs for making hot drinks in, not silly little cups! I had a delicious meal and once again the staff were brilliant and I was well looked after. Checked on to make sure all was well. They even found me a plug to charge my phone up as I'd forgotten mine. A glass of wine in the peaceful pretty garden before a good nights sleep. Highly recommend. Oh, the steam railway is just down the road, what more could you want!

A gem of a find! Really lovely pub with very good consideration for wheelchair users with access requirements - the flagstone paths are in keeping with the pub aesthetic but level and easy in terms of access. No threshold through doorways so very easy. Staff were excellent and more attentive with their attention to detail than any restaurant I have been to in years, offering a different sized plate for me after noticing my limitations due to my disability - even before serving. And the food was delicious - everyone was very happy and all of the meals were well curated with excellent produce. I'll be back, and will recommend to everyone - thank you!

Fabulous! The most friendly and helpful pub we have ever been in. We stopped in after a dog walk and had a lovely breakfast. The staff were kind and attentive. We sampled the apple juice pressed by the farm next door which was delicious and popped over the road to buy some beautiful locally grown garlic bulbs (that are also used at the pub). We will be back! Cannot recommend highly enough, well priced, fab quality food with a warm welcome. Not to mention there are some lovely walks nearby.

Had a brilliant meal here this evening. Fish and chips, fish of the day, chicken with gnocchi and pesto and a kids pasta. All very tasty. The Eton Mess was sublime. Service excellent, very friendly staff. Also dog friendly. Would def return.

What a great place to meet up for a family lunch. The food was truly excellent. All four of us had different choices from the menu and each one was nicely presented, cooked well and very tasty. Staff were keen to make our lunch an enjoyable experience and did so very well. Will definitely return - soon!

The food was cooked to perfection and presented nicely. They have gluten free options, if you have coeliac this is a safe place to eat. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My friend and I go out for meal once a month, this won't be the last time that we visit.

At the end of a summer walk, what a treat lunch at the Sea Trout Inn is. The menu leaves you quite lost for choice. You really want to try everything. In the end we shared mussels - exquisite. Had a taste of the bisque too - delicious. My main was a delicate asparagus ravioli with peas and broad beans in a blue cheese sauce. Stunning. Hats off to chef Hugh Miller. Thank you.

Quick overnight stay with a friend. Whole experience was wonderful. Beautiful location. Amazing home cooked food - we ate lunch, dinner and breakfast there and every meal was of an extremely high standard. Staff are so friendly and polite. They're a credit to the establishment. Comfortable room that was clean and tidy. Only lost one star as blackout curtains would be a really good addition 👍. Wouldn't stop us returning and planning an annual trip for a girls catch up moving forward 👌

A family dinner took us here. A snug quirky bar with friendly welcoming staff and locals. The restaurant is quite large but is still cosy. Excellent fish dishes, very good steak. The menu isn't huge, which is good. Food is prepared freshly and presented well.

Great clean room and TV. Great bathroom with the Great addition of being able to adjust the temperature on the water to own liking. Great little window for a nice but of light and full of space. Nice staff and helped when I accidentally locked myself out my room. Great parking but food costs are a tad high. Nice and quite restaurant which was a lot nicer after a hard day at work. Can't hear any noise from the restaurant in my room which is a big thumps up.
