Popped in for a late breakfast (and to plan a day’s walk)
Plenty of choices with a quality menu and local ingredients. The atmosphere was bustling but relaxed, the coffee in particular was delicious. One slight downside was that the vegetarian breakfast was actually a vegan breakfast, so came minus any egg or butter, which left the toast looking a little sad (we’re butter lovers!).
Overall, a great little find with plenty of temptations!
Stopped in to More? bakery by chance while visiting the Lakes and in need of breakfast; the Cumberland sausage in a milk bread roll did not disappoint! Freshly baked roll and flavoursome Cumberland, it set me up for a morning on the Fells!
Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Toilets were very clean, tables cleared and wiped down very quickly to make room for the constant stream of customers. This place is clearly popular with locals, dog walkers, and Lames visitors!
Perfect stop off for breakfast, lunch or a sweet treat. Dog friendly too!
One of my favourite lakeland cafes, opens early which means I can get on the fells before the crowds and enormous porridge servings, great!!
My wife and I stopped off here on the way to Liverpool. It’s situated in a nice little village. They have a wide variety to choose from on the menu. My wife went with the katsu chicken wrap and I went with the recommended Staveley Fried Chicken. We also got a hot chocolate each which were both excellent. My wife appeared to enjoy the wrap and my burger did the job, although I expected it to be a little better. The bun was was just your standard morning roll. To take away we got a sweat treat each. I got the pistachio tart and my wife for the biscoff slice. The service was quite good although I was standing around waiting to be served and it wasn’t even busy. I do like how they have a vast quantity of breads to order.

Friendly staff, great food and coffee what more do you need, would recommend the breakfast muffin with chili jam and hash brown! Great start to the day! The smell of the bakery was fantastic also!.................2 weeks on and I'm still dreaming about this breakfast muffin!
Visited after shopping at the Inov-8 store, after messaging prior to visiting to ask if they had vegan options which they confirmed they did. Vegan options include vegan feta wrap or salad, sausage roll, porridge pot, avocado on toast, cake, flapjack and oat milk. We had two vegan feta wraps with two teas with oat milk. The wraps were scrumptious, loads of filling, with chunks of vegan feta, made with lovely fresh ingredients. We loved it and will definitely revisit in the future and make sure we have room for cake next time, the chocolate and raspberry cake looked so tempting. As we were leaving I took a photo of a vegan pizza they offer, but forgot to make a note of when these were available. Hawkshead Brewery is right next door, who I know make vegan friendly beers, maybe they collaborate on a joint effort pizza and beer evening. If More? read this review, please let me know about this.
Very lovely place and built at a very high standards (kinda reminded me of Danish cafes in Copenhagen). The staff are friendly and polite ... coffee is strong but very tasty (more on acidic side than fruity) ... Our breakfast did not disappoint ... Overall, recommended for decent coffee, bread and pastries !
A stunning little café that we've started to visit on our way back from the Lake District.
Service has always been warm and friendly.
We've enjoyed good cakes, excellent coffee, and delicious sandwiches. Every time we stop we always grab a takeaway loaf of sourdough.
Well worth a visit.
So good we visited for both breakfast and lunch before and after our walk. I agree that the vegan sausage roll was delicious and the hearty soup with chickpeas and winter vegetables went down a treat.
Great coffee and today I had the Haloumi and chilli jam sandwich. It was superb. Friendly service too in a bustling busy space.
