The Eagle And Child Inn - Staveley - Photo album

Went for an evening meal and a drink. The pub was a lovely traditional pub. Cosy and clean. The staff were friendly and efficient. The beers were great. The food..... fabulous. Hot and tasty. Definitely would go again.
We stopped here on our way home from a weekend walking in the lakes and it was just a short detour from the main route. The setting is beautiful and there seemed to be plenty of parking on the roads as well as in designated spaces directly opposite. The pub itself is lovely, warm and welcoming, with
a cosy, friendly little pub with delicious food and wine. we ordered the sausage and mash and the double stacked burger and it did not disappoint! portions were large and i had a lovely assortment of veggies with my meal. a great spot to relax for the evening and sit by the log fire
Stayed in Staveley for a week over new year and frequented the Eagle and Child a few times. Great atmosphere; a proper pub with a cosy fire place and dog friendly too. Ate here twice, the food was brilliant….the Moroccan lamb being my favourite thing I ate all week. The only thing I would criticise
This is an excellent pub and hotel. Been a couple of times but first visit with Boothroyd. The only downside is the lovely food is served 12 - 2 and then from 5.30..so having once arrived at 2.15 very hungry I had to fill up on scoobie snacks. Only drinking today. Lovely setting. Great rear beer gar
Had a wonderful meal here with my daughter. My daughters words, "best pate ever!" And I wholeheartedly agree.
We only drank here but the place was rammed and the food looked and smelled amazing. Staff were excellent, friendly and efficient. We will be back and next time will definitely eat!!
Great bar meal. Been a few times over the years.
Great pub with lovely food and local beers
Always nice on a sunny day. The beer garden overlooking the river is a really nice place to sit. Can get busy, especially on sunny days. The bus stops right outside, which is handy. Great food as well.
Lovely friendly staff & welcoming pub Good food & good evening had Would recommend
Sat in the beer garden by the river on a sunny day. Peaceful and relaxing. Bacon chops, egg and chips and 2 x fish and chips. Good quality food at reasonable prices. Well done guys 👍
We Have a Drive Through to Staveley. To the Eagle and Child. For Dinner. Excellent Food and Service.
Was booked in here for a work trip and loved it. My room was clean and quiet, the food was good, and staff very very friendly. Would definitely visit again.
Unglaublich gemütlicher Pub, sowohl drinnen als auch draußen. Bedienung ist sehr schnell, aufmerksam und höflich. Super leckereres Essen. Hatten den Steak Pie und fish and chips. War so gut, dass wir zum Nachtisch nochmals fish and chips bestellt haben. Nur zu empfehlen. (Translated by Google) Incr
Well worth waiting to visit Staveley when this pub is open at lunchtime. Had the superb Cumbria Ales Pacific Voyage NZPA - one of the rare occasions when one pint is not enough. What a treat - really outstanding ale in a classic pub.
Just spent 2 nights here. Our car broke down on the first morning. Molly's boyfriend, a mechanic kindly offered to have a look at it but unfortunately we had to contact the RAC. Refreshments offered and we spent the rest of the day in and out of the pub had a lovely meal and everyone was so helpful
Too busy to sit inside for food, so sat in thr beer garden opposite, right next to the river and was wonderful.. Great beer, great food and good all round service.. And good for the dogs too
