This traditional family village pub is one of the best in the area. Great outside area with plenty of seating. Really good menu. I had a burger but you are spoilt for choice. Local ales, fruitie, pool table and tv showing footie, etc. Recommended.

Very friendly and efficient serving staff. Meal was tasty, hot and well presented. A.nice casual atmosphere added to an all round enjoyable meal.
Lovely Roast half chicken dinner with roast potatoes, parsnip, stuffing, gravy, Yorkshire pudding, cabbage, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower cheese. I left full and satisfied. Staff very nice too and service good. Will come again :-)
First time we’ve been to The Kings Head and a really good experience.
The staff are lovely and friendly. The service and food were excellent. We had the Cowboy Chilli Con Carne (which was yum with some lovely meat in there) and the Kings Head Stack burger (which was a quality burger).
Will be going back again soon.

We met family for dinner here whilst holidaying in the area. The pub is clean and tidy and the service was quick and friendly. My partner had a very good halluomi burger with the most enormous piece of halluomi. He also had chunky chips, coleslaw, all for £14.95, he said was lovely. My step-mum had an amazing ploughman's which was enormous with a baguette, plenty of cheese, coleslaw, pickle and salad, £13.95. My step-sister had the hunter's chicken with chunky chips, £15.95 which she said was also very good. I had the falafel and mushroom espetada, a kebab. The falafel were rock hard as they had been overcooked and the mushrooms were bland. The fries were nice but the salad was small with huge chunks of onion. I felt a bit cheated as this dish was nearly £17 and I had less food than everyone else. I'd recommend all the dishes we had except the espetada.
It's my nearest pub although I'm not a regular. Have to say the food was great, service excellent and the place buzzed and was very friendly. Definitely going again

We stopped here for a drink on the way back from Maidstone. Lovely sitting in the garden with a cold drink. Good service and friendly staff.

Great British Pub with good fish and chips
As a family we have been to the Kings Head about 10 times before over a 7 year period but I have to say that the food has been just acceptable and adequate.
We have primarily used it as a meeting point as it positioned between our friends home and ours and that makes it convenient rather than the go to place of choice.
The King Head has a nice atmosphere and both the bar and restaurant staff have always been friendly and efficient.
This most recent visit changed my opinion completely, fantastic quality food with exceptional service.
This has to have been the best pub meal I have had anywhere to date.
Price was spot on for both the high quality food and service with a smile.
Not sure if it is under new management, however, I would respectfully suggest that you don't change anything because it was perfect.
