Myself and 15 family members went for a meal at The Rose last Thursday. We were in the lounge room on our own which was nice, the food was lovely and the staff really couldn't have been more helpful! Thank you very much, I'd thoroughly recommend you!

Lovely New Year's Eve menu, the food was the best I have eaten at the Rose. The fish starter was lovely, the lamb for the main course amazing and the desert plate just could not eat them all, then a help yourself cheese table, Coffee and chocolates to finish. Fantastic food and lovely service thank you truly wonderful

Most deserts are gluten and dairy free, which is great! They have a smooth session IPA on tap and good wine. Staff are super chill and helpful. The Rose is a very nice spot to drop in, have a couple drinks, have a couple bites, and have a few laughs. Def recommend. 🤙

Loved it. There's a little and cozy room for the restaurant side of the pub which is fantastic. Excellent food and the menus vary from time to time. Great experience in Shelford.

Dropped in without a reservation at the end of a busy lunch service. Despite this the staff proactively checked whether they could seat us, and to apologise for the almost non-existent delay gave us a round of drinks on the house. Impeccable service, nice atmosphere (and a good beer garden) and a great roast. Will be back, thank you.

My son and I visited the Rose today as a belated Mothers Day meal. Having driven passed on many occasion we were keen to visit and we weren’t disappointed. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant which is warm, cosy and spacious before heading to the bar to finish our drinks. The atmosphere of the whole place is lovely and we could have happily stayed for a long time. We were served by Leon who welcomed us as if we were regulars and was friendly and kind and made us laugh. We look forward to returning very soon with our family. A beautifully decorated pub with fantastic service, food and awesome staff. The icing on the cake was when Leon presented me with a little Mother’s Day chocolate gift.

I had a lovely Christmas meal here with colleagues. We were situated in the 'Snug' which is a separate room from the main pub. It was lovely and cosy. The set menu food was delicious. I had the turkey and trimmings for mains and the gluten free pancakes, ice-cream and berries. Tracey and her team were very attentive and friendly. A lovely time was had by all and we will be sure to return again. I'll be bringing my Mum for dinner in the near future! Thanks again and have a good Christmas :)

Lovely beamed building with plenty of separate areas to sit. Staff helpful and friendly. Food very good and cooked to order. My salmon, parmentier potatoes, sugar snap peas and watercress sauce was delicious.

Great local pub where you’re guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome. Food is always consistently good - unlike many in the area where it can be really hit and miss. We visit regularly and always enjoy a laugh and a joke with the staff. Pleased to have the Rose on our doorstep.

Had a lovely hot meal at lunchtime, we decided that their fish and chips are the best in Cambridgeshire. The Rose was quite busy which is good to see, so much so that it is best to book a table otherwise you may be disappointed. They now have a takeaway menu so if we fancy fish and chips or various other dishes we can eat at home instead.

Busy place for a Thursday lunchtime. Pleasant atmosphere and the food was good and plentiful. Efficient service. Didn't have to wait long for our order. This pub has a different special menu for Monday to Friday apart from the normal menu and Thursday was fish day. Beautiful building going back over 250 years I was informed and a car park for maybe about 20 cars.

Lovely food, good selection of ales and beers, only downside is the short ceiling. Can't blame them, it's an old pub, but if you're tall then be careful!

Lovely atmosphere. Great service. Despite it being busy we got our food very quickly. Starters were sublime and super quick out. Only issue with main was portion size was a bit on the small side and chips weren't to my preference. Very chunky and more pillowy. Both subjective issues however, otherwise perfect with lovely fresh rolls while you await starter. Highly recommend.

Serving up a cracking range on the menu and a fab Sunday roast, this pub deserves much praise. They take covid very seriously too. Very good seperation and the masked and gloved staff knew thier stuff. We went twice in a week during a short tour of the area, we couldn't fault it. The atmosphere was amazing, food plentiful and tasty. Deserves the 5 stars given

We stopped off last minute as we drove through and glad we did. Food was fantastic and staff was exceptional, very family friendly. The waiter who served us our meals was very friendly and was great with my son. He went above and beyond standard customer service. Salmon done perfect and I'm fussy about how it's cooked. Would recommend this to friends and family. 😃
