Myself partner and two children Enjoyed a delicious tender beef dinner today - meat was cooked medium and very moist ! Roasters were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the in!! Veggies good to perfection and the creamed cabbage was a treat!! Great village setting in a traditional beamed building !! Prices around £14.00/£14.50 for roasts - Would definitely recommend for a country pub roast - a regular favourite for us !!

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Carpenters Arms. The rooms are lovely & the selection of tea & coffee excellent. We ate at the Carpenters Arms for both nights & the food was beautiful & although more than you would pay for 'pub grub' this is not pub grub, but restaurant quality food, so really good value. Good beer and a good wine list. The breakfast is really good too & sets you up for a days sight seeing in Bath. Thoroughly recommended. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Great food with a good varied menu, superb service, a lovely atmosphere and really good value for money. We've eaten here many times for birthdays and this was our 5th Mother's Day visit. Managed to book in for Christmas lunch this year. Highly recommend The Carpenters Arms.

My husband and I had booked a 3 night stay, we liked it so much we extended it to 4, room modern comfortable and spotlessly clean, staff friendly and very helpful and the food...well we can't praise it highly enough, every course of every meal was perfect, well done to all staff and especially the chef x

Fabulous country pub. Log fires in winter. Beer garden in summer. Food is delicious especially the slow cooked beef(keep it on the menu even in summer). Bedrooms spotless with an interesting placement of Windows. One downside is that the Wi-Fi needs improving. Other than that brilliant.

Travelled from the Midlands for an exam in Bristol and stayed here over night. Totally gorgeous place, the staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the 'attic room' was absolutely lovely! Super clean and had everything i needed, including great wifi and a cafetiere - perfect to prepare for an exam!

We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary on 31 Oct with lunch at this outstanding pub, which never fails to impress. The menu was imaginative & tasty, & included some 'Classics' as well. Portions were generous. Try to make room for dessert too, & finish with one of their excellent selection of coffees. We can't comment on the rooms, but would just like to highly recommend lunch, which is also good value for money.

We stayed at the Carpenters Arms in September of 2023. We rented two rooms, one with two twins for 20 year old children and one queen size bed room for my wife and me. The rooms were clean, had high end furniture and fixtures. They felt like a four star luxury hotel. The hotel staff was easy to contact and work with. The Inn was charming- an old style pub and restaurant on the ground floor with the rooms on the first floor. The breakfast was delicious and large. The inn is in the countryside, which is what we wanted. We took a walk in the surrounding area enjoying the tranquil scenery. We highly recommend the inn for a couple or a family and would happily go back.

I visited with friends for lunch. Lovely comfortable country pub, not far from A37 between Bristol and Pensford. Absolutely brilliant service the food was delicious and freshly cooked. All reasonably priced. Did not stay was just for lunch, so did not see the rooms.

A real find. We're on holiday in the area and just wanted a decent spot of lunch and settled on the Carpenters Arms after a quick Google search. The pub is lovely and characterful. Staff couldn't have been friendlier. We ordered two fish dishes, Sea Bass and Trout. Both were outstanding. Top restaurant standard, beautifully presented and sooo tasty. Definitely recommended. 5*

Visiting the area and our Airbnb host recommended this pub to us. The food was amazing, very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. Tasted lovely. Nice cosy pub. Would definitely come back if I was in the area again.

My sister in law booked a table for 12, a late joint birthday meal. We were served quickly, and our meals were soon in front of us. The food was amazing, the service was excellent, it was great value for money, and my only complaint was no chicken roast dinner. I don't know any children that eat pork or lamb, so the only option would be roast beef, but I have to say the desserts made up for no chicken. The room was cosy, there was a nice atmosphere. I would highly recommend it.
