Great dinner at The Ash! I got the fish and chips and it was delicious and big. Everyone at my table was satisfied with the food. Price is correct for quality and quantity. Service is great. I highly recommend it!
Very, VERY cozy pub for dinner. The staff was super lovely with sharing stories and history about the place. The food was brought swiftly and was in great amount and of high quality. I had the half rib for around 11£, and i was a bit concerned that the portion size wouldn't compare to the other dish
Lovely thatched pub for lunch, the fish and chips fresh and tasty, the steak pie was a delight enrobed in delicious gravy
The staff were attentive and we enjoyed our lunch, unfortunately no room a pudding and they sounded delicious thank you.

We stayed here overnight before our flight at Stansted the next morning. Reasonable price for airport parking for a week and over night stay at only £79. Parking is located to the side of the pub and hotel was situated across the road in a converted barn. Rooms were tidy and clean. Hot water took a

Airport. Comfortable and basic amenities in the room. The pub was lovely, lots of choice however, quite expensive. Staff very pleasant and check in and out was easy.
The place is very lovely to have some time to breathe and eat your breakfast or dinner, the food is surprisingly delicious and the staff are 100% making sure you’ll be fully thankfully about everything. Amazing place, will come again.
Visited Jun2021 after a 10 mile walk. Sat outside in the evening sun, gently serenaded by the sounds of Stansted Airport trying to convince the world that it was busy.
This is a Greene King pub, so the quality is controlled, you know what you are going to get. And sure enough, we got a friendly
Beautiful thatched building, a treat to see. All the grounds were immaculate. Staff very attentive and food was cooked to perfection. I will be very happy to visit here again
Love love love this place. The Chef is absolutely brilliant with crazy generous portions, haven’t had a bad meal here. The old adage that English food is terrible does not apply at The Ash. Staff is a delight and lots of great WWII memorabilia. Highly recommend this place!
A quiet, spacious country pub, there was a small play area that kept the children entertained. Th food was fine though mine was a little tepid when it arrived. There was a very bad wasp infestation and one of my company did get stung. Good family day out had by all.
The best steak and ale pie you will find anywhere in the country (winner for the people who don't like to much pastry as its made in a bigger dish!

Lovely setting with lots of parking & just a stones throw away from Stansted Airport. Food & service was excellent. County pub feel with alfresco dining outside (could do with a few umbrellas for shade 😁) but there is two seating areas inside which are equally as nice.
We stayed at The Ash Barn as it's nicer than the local "usual brands of airport hotels". We returned a few days later and stuffed ourselves on the mega BLT they serve.
Traditional Greene King pub with generous and tasty food portions. Stayed in the annexe for 1 night, it was basic, a bit dirty but cheap.
Lovely pub and friendly manager, food was good if not some what on the pricey side, my only worry is that at 8.30 on a Thursday night there is no other customers in the pub
