We went here for the first time on Saturday night. We ordered a drink downstairs from the really friendly bar staff and could see a musician setting up for later. After being shown to our table upstairs we had a fantastic meal at a very reasonable price, served by a very friendly waitress. Would defiantly recommend this place and next time hopefully have time to stay later and listen to the band

We sampled the half price cocktails which were superb and served with a smile. The food was delicious and very good value for money. The atmosphere is friendly, we would definitely come back again and recommend for a nice relaxed evening with good food.

Fabulous food and great service on both visits with large parties in the last couple of weeks. Charlotte and Team couldn't have been more accommodating, excellent evenings all round. Loving the new decor too. Well done Cork House x

Had a lovely evening here. We were quite a large party - 9 of us - and they gave us a massive table in one of the upstairs rooms which effectively made it like private dining. The food was wonderful - who DOESN'T like chocolate chip bread and butter pudding?! Service was friendly and efficient. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thank you so much

Wow what an unexpected treat from this hidden little spot! Enjoyed a variety of their tapas and thoroughly enjoyed every single item! Delicious tasty food, good portions and reasonably priced. Very cute cosy pub and landlady was lovely! Great place for drinks and food. 🌟

Always a friendly welcome here. Great cocktails and tapas if you fancy something to eat. Often have themed nights such as quiz night, cocktail clock etc.

Fabulous place. Although my friend could not access the building because of his power wheelchair, the staff made sure we got a very high level of service outside. Was a lovely bright day so perfect. Will be going back again soon as loved everything about the place.

Delicious French tapas. Little bit pricey but then we were a fairly large party and order everything plus doubled up on some. A smaller number would probably order less by asking for their favourites Good service too

Food was fine except potatoes were hard. Was advised that another customer had given the same feedback but chef had said they were supposed to be al dente. Some potatoes were raw in the middle. I suggested they tell chef that if he wants to provide al dente potatoes he should: a) advise this on the menu and, b) ensure his potatoes are all the same size to ensure a consistent product. Roasted Carrots were also al dente, they were very tasty but too hard. Nice piece of seabass, good pie, fab Chardonnay Pleasant staff. I would recommend it - but check the spuds!

Lovely friendly vibe in this surprisingly spacious pub. The food here is gorgeous too! Do check out their Quiz night on the 2nd Tuesday of the month for some evening entertainment, hosted by Terry.

Late lunch & the place was quiet. Service was excellent. I went for the sea bass with samphire, not a great fan of fish but I wanted to try samphire. The bass was nicely cooked & whole dish was great. The Cork house is one of those eateries I wish was local to me sadly it is not. Home made Ice cream was good too.

Small, intimate, good range of drinks but not beers. Ideal for small groups.

My wife and I visited The Cork House for the first time on Saturday and were surprised to find that we were the only people in the dining room, although there were a couple of people in the bar. At first we thought we had picked the wrong place, but then we had the starters and realised that this was exactly where we wanted to be! I had the garlic prawns and my wife had the deep fried brie, and we agreed that they were very, very good! For mains, I had the pie of the day - steak and ale and awesome! The meat just fell apart as soon as my fork went near it, and it was packed full too! My wife had steak and triple cooked chips and she was blown away by the quality - it was cooked exactly as she likes it - medium rare. We were so full after the mains that we had to say no to dessert - maybe next time? The Cork House is in an extremely old building and has wonky walls and sloping floors and is very cosy. If you haven't tried it, you simply must book a table soon!
