What a great find. Needed to meet a friend for a catchup, neither of us knew the area. Found this on Google and the lovely Polish lady could not have been more welcoming.. Would definitely revisit. Please get some Gluten Free cake :-)
A little gem of an eatery, already discovered by the locals who are here in numbers. I had a tasty ham & cheese toastie, an excellent 'square' scone, jam & cream, and a good mug of tea. Everything is baked daily & cooked to order, and all of the above are served with a welcoming smile & willing hand by the lovely Anna & Ania.
Had been there multiple times with family, best cakes, coffee and food, extremely clean, staffs there are very friendly, and each time we enjoyed the food there, would love to visit again.
A nice cafe with a lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the food is good. Wide range of items on the menu. Prices are reasonable.

Traditional menu with little in the way of invention nor diversion from the script but that’s not necessarily a bad thing; the animated clientele here would possibly concur
The coffee holds it’s ground against local competition and very much cheaper.
Service friendly, efficient and the prices be comfortingly reasonable.

This is the best place for breakfast at Stanmore. I have had vegetarian English breakfast, every bit of it was enjoyable. Quite good and big portion for only £6.99. Lovely warm place to sit in, very welcoming environment. The staffs were so friendly and very well behaved with a big smile on their faces. Definitely I’ll be back here soon.
The staff are always very pleasant in here. I'd much rather stop here for a quick coffee rather than the big coffee chain across the road. Breakfast and lunch not bad either.

Great simple home style food and warm welcoming atmosphere. The service is friendly, prompt and attentive. Everything very nicely cooked and prepared. Comfortable seating and a spotless toilet. The prices are incredibly reasonable. Its a place where old friends and close family go to meet, eat and talk. Cartons is a rare gem in this slick, overpriced eating out elsewhere around us. Bonus: no alcohol!
Cartons promotes community and love that emanates from its owner Ben and pemeates to all who walk through Carton's door. Ben knows and speaks love to his food, staff and guests. We need to make sure we all tell Ben how much we value Ben and his contribution to our Stanmore community. Many of his most appreciative guests do not use social media so I am speaking up here on their behalf!
Did you know that Ben will also cater for your afternoon tea events? Recently Ben provided a wonderful sandwich and cake spread for my fathers 96th birthday and my parents platinum wedding celebration tea, for 20 guests two days in a row. Highly enjoyed and now highly recommended.

Been using this establishment, for many years. Always excellent customer service, excellent menu choice. The food never disappoints. Please visit. You will not be disappointed.
I really fancied a full English breakfast and thought I would give Cartons a go. It was my first visit since before lockdown and is usually very busy inside, a good omen! I was not disappointed. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection, the sausages were very tasty and the bacon was lush! In fact, the whole plate was so good that I cleaned it along with my toast. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and, the atmosphere was warm, cosy and comfortable with the radio playing in the background. The menu is varied, perhaps I shall have to go back and try something else!
Great food, good atmosphere, the staff do a wonderful job of making everyone feel welcome and being super efficient despite being super busy. Just a lovely café.
