Had the most gorgeous meal here today with my Mam, 2 courses for the incredible price of £6.95. We were made to feel welcome the minute we walked through the door. We both chose steak pie, which was just gorgeous. Jam packed with melt in mouth meat, served with home made chips and peas. Then we were presented with a side serving of veg and a gravy boat! Needless to say we struggled to finish it. Then onto pud, I chose the toffee apple crumble with custard and Mam the pineapple upside cake. Crikey, huge portions but delicious. We done there regular and never had a bad meal yet food is fantastic always plenty and the Monday madness is well worth the money full plates for less than 3 pounds you must try it we eat there at least every 2 weeks. Staff are give you a

I had the best Sunday lunch I have had in a while (bar my own), myself and my sister went this Sunday and we were made to feel really welcome by all the staff.
We both ordered the roast beef and it was so tender it fell apart when cutting it, all the vegetables were fresh not frozen and we had mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, peas, carrots, cabbage, turnip and a giant homemade Yorkshire pudding it was all delicious and we will certainly be going back with all the family

Every family meal/occasion we always go to the Hobson. Staff are friendly food is beautiful. There was a party of 24 went and not a thing went wrong bar staff even bought me a drink as it was for my 30th birthday. Highly recommended �

Visited last week for a birthday lunch. Pub was busy, food was served quickly and was delicious. Meat was nice and soft and not a pick of fat or grizzle. Home made chips to die for. Even had a pudding and the little one ate free. Will definitely return here.
Fantastic Sunday lunch on Mother's Day, everything cooked to perfection and their Yorkshire puddings are the best I've had!
Everything tip top....home cooked chips, fab....for a fat lad the 16oz burger done me in...service top notch.
Great restaurant. Mixed grill on Wednesday is AMAZING! My favorite is their Scampi and chips! Delicious doesn’t describe food here enough! Sunday lunches are 12/10! Ha ha!
We go to the Hobson for meals on a regular basis and have done for a number of years. The staff are great and friendly. The food is fabulous and great value. I can't say which is our favourite meal as we have tried just about everything on the nenu and they have all been lovely. Love the fact that they have daily specials too and the homemade chips are the best. If you have never tried it then you need to .. one of my favourite places

Family birthday meal for 11 people, everyone said their meals were lovely and would go back, we all had two courses for £7.95...couldn't fault it..

You just sit down straight away. Order drinks and food at the bar and it's brought to you. Service was great. Food was lovely and only waited 15mins for starter and the main came 5mins after. Will definately go again. The only gripe was that I was too full for a dessert.
Booked up for a Friday night. 4 of us all had great meals. Honestly, I do not know how they produce such good food and good-sized portions for the price. Some of our main courses were only £7.95 It was so good we booked while there for the next Friday night.

The food is consistently lovely. 7.95 for 2 courses. Steak pie chips with separate portion of veg. Pie was like 2lb of meat !!!! Delicious
Pud was lemon cake and custard but theres more to choose from. Lovely staff too definitely our new go to place
