We stayed in Roxy’s Cottage at the Causey Arch this weekend alongside the Tea Rooms and had an amazing time! The cottage was done out so lovely inside and nice and spacious with everything you need. A very relaxing weekend due to the surroundings, lovely walks and it’s attached and owned by the Tea
Very friendly and welcoming staff. In with 3 dogs and each got a full cooked sausage each, thank you! Lovely proper coffee and hot chocolates. Beautiful surroundings and lovely riverside/woodland walks.
Has just been recently been taken over and the owner is lovely as is the staff! Great place for mams, is a little kids corner which is getting expanded. Owner also brought me water over as I was breastfeeding, without me asking. Highly recommend!
Lovely friendly staff. Dog friendly and perfectly situated for walks.
It's a wonderful cozy friendly place to eat and relax. Dogs 🐶 are welcome people are tolerated. Scones, cakes and food are made in the Caffe. I loved it.
Lovely attractive tearoom, in a great location for walking around Causey Arch countryside and close to Tanfield railway. Really pleasant, helpful and friendly people. Nice variety of food and drink on the menu. Recommend a visit if you're in the vicinity.

What a lovely place for a tea/coffee and a catch up with a friend! Friendly staff; dogs welcome; table service. And even though it was raining, quite a few people were visiting, not just the two of us (or were we all hiding from the rain?).
Lovely staff and atmosphere. A lot of food and drinks (hot and cold) to choose from. We walked here from sunniside so it was a lovely treat! We also got a free sausage for the dog, thank you 🐶
