Sunday lunch here today the service was amazing all the staff were so attentive and friendly. Food was delicious too.
All in all a good venue, great big portions. The service was frequent but could perhaps have been a little less forced. Friendly enough, plenty of parking, food didn't take long to arrive. Quality of the food was pub fayre standard, the salad dressing was a real hit. No issues, just good food and lots of it.
6 of us went last night, first time for 45 years (it was a special anniversary). If it was possible to rate higher than 5 stars I would have. Really nice place, friendly and attentive staff and above all the food was great and generous portions. 3 Courses, couple of drinks n coffees £170 for 6 of us which we all thought was very fair indeed.

4 years ago I rated it 3 stars but I'm happy to change to 5 stars. Food choice was excellent, and the staff were very attentive, but happy to give us time to choose. The table arrangement has changed, not to close together and this small change created a better atmosphere. Will certainly call again.
Very popular restaurant,lovley inside,make sure u book a down stairs table if you carnt climb the stairs.You will need to book,Great value,£7.95 lunch menu,not massive portions but enough for lunch,sweets £3.95,,Good simple home cooked food with fresh veg/chips on the table.We had steak Diane,good sized sirloin.Set in nice grounds at the back,my be opened up in summer.Good quick service u have to get your own drinks from the bar,so not pestered for selling drinks,will visit again.
Only niggle,toilets need upgrade,seemed only to be 2,for a busy restaurant.
Very attentive staff and lovely food. Only negative was 2 mins grace between collection of starter plates and main course arrived. Feel we were rushed to eat and go
The Owls is a lovely gastropub, the food was delicious and the staff very polite and friendly. The food and drinks where excellent value for money, I'm looking forward to my next visit their.

Had the set menu, chose feathered beef ,excellent but vegetables was very little in portion size , followed by creme brulee which was excellent,
