This little gem of a restaurant did not disappoint. Booked for a large work gathering.
The food was exquisite and the service from the team was exceptional.
This is somewhere I will be adding to places to visit again and again

We visited on Saturday night - the service was outstanding (thanks Simonette - you were great!) and the food was good. The one problem was the noise of the restaurant - we had to shout to hear each other. I have visited before and always sat outside, which is a much nicer experience.

Took the family for breakfast. There were 9 of us and a dog, so we had to sit outside, which is expected it was really comfortable they put the heaters on for us. The food was very good. The service left a bit to be desired at times, but overall, we were all very happy.

Arrived on a Friday at 12 noon. Hadn't booked but no problem getting a table. Food and service was superb. Lovely decor and atmosphere.Only downside for me is the discretionary 10% tip which is factored into the bill. No problem paying it but I believe it should be customers perogative. All in all loved it.

Really nice place in Standish for lunch and/or dinner. Went to Albert's Standish on Saturday with a friend of mine from Wigan: he was told only good & positive things about this restaurant. Yet, it is not only a restaurant, but much more if you would like to organize conferences, parties and so on. I can judge on the food and, as you can see from the pictures (starter, main course & dessert), it was well presented, delicious and prices are reasonable! Last thing, but probably as important as the food: the service was excellent, impeccable actually., Everyone was very friendly, professional and we were well looked after. Great wine selection too, amazing place, definitely going back!

This is my favourite place to eat in the Wigan area. It’s pretty big with tables inside and outside (with some shelter and heaters for part of them) but I would recommend booking.
Had the scallops to start, cooked perfectly, only wish there was more of them! Stuffed chicken as one main and sirloin steak as the other, both with dauphinois - both delicious and seasoned perfectly. Chocolate volcano didn’t erupt, but it was tasty, especially with the pistachio ice cream. Some nice choices available on the wine list, the valpo was delicious.
Service and atmosphere all good. Looking forward to coming back and trying the other dishes.

Really enjoyed my two visits to Albert's.
The decor is right up my street - it's luxurious, dark and really sets a brilliant atmosphere.
The service was very good - friendly, prompt and nothing was too much bother.
The food was delicious! The menu was somewhat limited, but most places are the same at the moment. The food I did have was flavoursome and just enough.
I had a bottle of the house cabernet sauvingon and it was perfectly served. Great temperature, really showcasing all the lovely flavours.
I was lucky enough to end the night with some cocktails - all made fresh and really hit the spot.
If I'm ever in the area in the future, I'll definitely book to visit (which is a wee bit of advice; book ahead, as it gets busy).

Really lovely restaurant and typically a very nice atmosphere.
My partner is a coeliac and so can only eat gluten free foods - the options are very limited and the foods for gluten free aren't great. Pizzas were very cardboard like.
Other than that food is lovely, drinks are nice however can be pretty expensive.
Staff all seem friendly enough however very young and inexperienced regarding the menu and drinks. So needed to keep running inside to asked questions to other members of staff.

Nice decor, clean, staff attentive. Just nipped in for a simple meal, so had fish and chips . Fish was 👌. Had pizza before and that was spot on too. Oh also had a garlic bread to nibble on as a starter- it's full size and not the usual 2 little pieces you get at some places. We like it

Arrived at the Albert's and the car park was full, but we got a space then a little walk to the front of house and I was very impressed as I've never eaten at a Albert's restaurant before, but if you don't get a table you can certainly have a drink or two outside and it's a big area, the Albert's also does functions so ya definitely give this place a try the staff are very friendly and helpful, just one thing check out the SERVICE CHARGE, they won't say anything about it it's just on and if your not expecting it then it mite come as a shock, so anyway enjoy 👍🏻

Booked this place last minute for me and my wife to go for a meal. What a brilliant choice from start to finish. The service was second to none, the food was amazing and was great value for money. That was the best pizza I have ever had in my life 😊 We will definitely be going back to Albert's 😎

Called in for lunch on a weekend away the place looks immaculate. On entering we were greeted with a smile and shown to our table on the covered outside terrace. Our waitress was friendly and attentive talking us through what was and was not available on the menu. We both went for the lunch menu which was greta value considering the quality of the food that was served. Couldn't recommend the place more. Keep doing what you are doing

Much improved!! This was our third visit to Albert’s in the last 18 months and finally they seem to be nailing it. First visit was okay, the second was a birthday event which didn’t go as planned, but this third visit was great. The service was spot on, the food was very nice (tho I did send my steak back as it was blue, my new one was perfect) and the cocktails were tasty. Thank you for everything and we will be seeing you again soon!

Went for lunch today, polite and professional reception. Great introduction and explanation when shown our table.
Introduced to our server (Emma) who was perfect explaining the menu, took our drinks order and gave us plenty time to view the menu prior to ordering. Starters served promptly , very tasty.
Had the seafood medley as a main, with a fantastic mix of tastes, my wife had steak, which was cooked perfectly, tender and tasty.
It was our first time at Albert's, Standish and I am sure we will be returning, thank you.
