Lovely restaurant at Burghley House, Lincolnshire. Once you're done visiting the spectacular palatial mansion that is Burghley House you might want to relax at The Orangery, especially in the picturesque outside seating area. You order your food at the desk, it will be brought to you (So, do memorize your table number!). Full lunches and light bites are available. I just had a fruit scone with jam and clotted cream, which was lovely. Alas, for us beer drinkers the selection is limited to ONE beer, the dreaded Sharpe`s Doom Bar. Anyway, the ambience is wonderful, and the prices, while elevated, aren't a rip-off.

We absolutely enjoyed our afternoon tea. We first toured the house and then headed for tea to celebrate Mother's Day (US). The staff was very considerate of my request and they added a 'Happy Mother's Day' card to her tray when they brought it, and also they had a vegan tray for one member of our group. Great service and delicious sandwiches. Highly recommend.

Me and my partner visited here for a full English breakfast yesterday it was a little start of the day treat for his birthday and I can’t fault the environment, food or service all 10/10 and already looking forward to returning. Thank you to all the team on shift that day.

Loved this place , campsite beautiful and very well kept. And the Bar & restaurant is fabulous. Great good and brilliant friendly polite staff all round. We will certainly be coming back for another stay in our Motor Home ….

Burghley House plus this very nice food I heartily recommend. But they deserve better than this utterly unimaginative and rather cheap interior design.

Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price For Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall the price of the food/drinks at The Orangery was good. Reasonably priced and the location given to us for the price was fantastic. Speed of Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ On this particular day the speed of service was fine. The main Front of House was fantastic in the way she seated us and the banter my party had with her flowed really well. However the wait for drinks was a little long and we had to ask 3 times to receive our jugs of water. Food Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall quality of my food was extremely good. Receiving a little 3 tower for my afternoon tea was very good. My first experience of receiving one each was very much appreciated. Nice variety of flavours and combination of foods was amazing. Restaraunt Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The overall cleanliness of the store was good. We sat outside but from what I saw when entering to pay was very hygienic and clean. AOB- I have no other business to add.

A lovely place - really beautiful room with (when we visited) sunshine streaming in through the huge windows. Very peaceful and relaxed feel. We stayed for lunch (lentil and goats cheese salad) and were impressed with how good it was - delicious! Reasonable prices as well. Really enjoyed our visit.

Limited range of lunch meals to chose, and ordering was a tad confusing. However beautiful setting with lots of lovely spots to chose to sit, and I enjoyed the duck and watermelon salad I ordered.

Nice food but pricey. Good quality selection of hot and cold food and regularly refreshed cakes and seasonal goodies. TIP: If you enter the Orangery from the house and you think it looks too busy there are more tables outside if the weather's nice, or go past the counter to even more tables that you can't see when you first set foot in the room.
