I worked here as a teen, grew up around the area and thought I knew this pub, Well after it's modernization and most recent ownership it is immaculate. Every detail from the interior to the seasonal menu choice is clearly thoroughly considered and backed up with attentive and cheerful staff going above and beyond. Myself and my family booked a last minute birthday meal and were over the moon with food quality, atmosphere and value for money. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back.

Such a wonderful weekend for our friends wedding. The staff were incredible and consistently attentive, we were never left waiting or wanting for anything. The management team were superb and the food was incredible - both the wedding and the breakfast were spot on and some of the best wedding food I have ever eaten. Would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Just had a couple of nights stay over Burghley weekend. Absolutely superb, can’t fault, dinner was gorgeous, particularly enjoyed the eggs on toast starter! Breakfasts were fabulous, very attentive service, had a couple of minor issues which were sorted immediately with no drama, a special mention to Den who is an absolute legend. Full 5 stars without a doubt, see you next year!

I greatly enjoyed my time at the White Hart. I can't praise the friendliness of the staff enough. In particular Den and Harry. The hotel itself is lovely and quiet, set in an idyllic village. The food is second to none. So much credit goes to their chef who has just started recently.

Had a one night stay for our anniversary and could not have been happier- the room was beautiful, clean, bright and quiet (we were in an outside room as we had 2 chihuahuas with us). The bed was heavenly and we both slept blissfully after an outstanding meal in the restaurant- the dishes were innovative, well executed and delicious. This isn't a pub grub location so expect to pay a little more for a more gourmet and refined meal. The staff were all charming and the location is stunning, we woke up to birdsong and had a perfectly cooked full breakfast which was fresh and generously portioned. We will absolutely stay again in the future x

Lovely Place, lovely Staff, very friendly, the Room was clean and quiet, great location. The only drawback, they ran out of Steak for the Evening Meal, and had a Burger, very dry and Bun rock-hard, so not charged. Lunch was delightful, best Cod for ages.

Food good. Started well but went down hill. Booking lost, wrong wine, room very hot, small with too many faults (shower control broken, no shampoo and ridiculously bright emergency light in bedroom and a lot of wildlife). Shame as all easily fixed

Superb 1 night stay on cycling trip. Dan and team were really helpful and responsive. Decent easy access room with lovely bar and restaurant. The food is way above average, the chef is obviously a bit good.

What a lovely place for a relaxing stop over and just a few miles from Stamford. Everywhere is beautiful and clean, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the restaurant food delicious. We loved it.

We have stayed here a few times when visiting family, and also popped in occasionally for a drink. The rooms are either in cottages in the courtyard/car park, or within the main pub buildings. They're nicely furnished and equipped, although some of the ceilings are sloping and may be too low for some people. The bar and dining rooms have recently been refurbished with more of a 'gastropub' look which aligns better with the style of the rooms, but has lost a little of the village pub feel. However, it's still popular with locals, walkers and visitors and with the large car park, is a good base for exploring the area, including Stamford. Well-kept real ales, nice wine selection. Booking is advised for dinner.

Beautiful pub with great service. A nice quiet area. I’m sure the beer garden is busy in the summer.

We had a lovely meal here on Good Friday. Despite not booking they accommodated a big group of us with 2 dogs and a baby and were very polite and helpful. Food was very good and great value.

Sunday lunch with the family for a special occasion. The food was first class, lovely assortment of vegetables, roast potatoes were crisps, the meat was tender, stuffing was so tasty, and everything was seasoned and served beautifully. Staff were attentive, good selection of beers and gin, and the young barman spent time to recommend a good tonic for my gin. Our dog was very happy with the treats which were free to help yourself, and we were asked if we wanted water for him. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back.
