I love this entire place. The butchers, the bakery, and the eggs are best in quality +all in one place it's so convenient, I never leave empty hands. Start trying the cafe/restaurant, it's so nice and cozy. I like to have breakfast by myself and look at the paintings that they have there also for sale ❤️
A great find as a stop off on our trip to Yorkshire. Just off the A1. We have visited three times now and had lovely lunches. Friendly helpful staff. Can get very busy.
Enjoyable afternoon tea in the garden centre cafe. We were catching up with friends and talked for ages over several refills of tea and coffee. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A good place to meet!
Love this unique and friendly place, it's an Aladdin's Cave! Fab helpful staff. I go every two or three weeks on average, mainly for plants/garden items, the wonderful on-site butcher and the lovely cafe/restaurant (excellent homemade food, indoor and outdoor seating options). I sometimes go for lunch with my elderly disabled father and they always treat him so considerately. Have also bought many gifts, home furnishings, other food items etc over the years. I like the way that the site also hosts small local businesses in its grounds.
I have also used the on-site hand car wash concession several times, they're polite and do a good job. It's great to get the car washed/valeted while I happily browse or indulge in delicious coffee and cake, rather than having to wait around with nothing to do!
In short, Stamford Garden Centre is brilliant and always worth a visit for multiple reasons.
We were recommended to the butchers shop to buy a Pork Pie. Unfortunately, me partner could see a very busy, charming restaurant and suggested we stop for a coffee ☕️. Please see pictures of our coffee. Yes you guessed, we stopped for lunch. Which was wonderful. Despite being very busy, we were shown to a table by a very charming waitress, Becky, after a few minutes our order was taken, drinks arrived followed by two delightful lunches and a dessert to die for. We were looked after by at least three waitresses all very helpful and professional. The bill was very reasonable for the quality and service, we will definitely be returning soon. Oh by the way, coffee was substituted for a glass af wine and a beer and we forgot the pork pie . . . .Only joking, we did buy a couple on the way out, together with Beef Wellington and Lincolnshire Bangers. My recommendation to all husbands, don't take your wife there for coffee, but if you do you will earn some brownie points 😉
Had a really lovely meal in your restaurant today (Monday 4th September), with great service. However the heat of the day got too much for me and I should like to thank the members of your staff for the excellent help given to me in spite of them being very busy.
Wonderful atmosphere and lovely layout. Lots of nooks and crannies to search in. Very much a 'proper' garden centre. Not tried the little cafe out yet, but we'll definitely be back again.
Visited today lunchtime for mydaughters birthday.
We were not disappointed.
The service was superb, ALLthe staff made sure they wished my daughter a happy birthday.
The service was prompt, and the staff were so friendly and chirpy.
Top marks all round, thank you.
What a fantastic garden centre it was full of amazing plants. It also had so much more from garden furniture and stoves, to the most amazing buthers and delicatessen well worth a visit. You can also visit the cafe to think about what you are going to buy.
Had a very good mix of products more akin to a department store than a garden centre. Anything from foods to sofa's. Lovely cafe is also well worth a visit.
Went there last week & this week. Lovely food. Friendly staff. Reasonable priced. Would certainly go back there again.
A real gem complete with Bistro, butcher deli and wonderful other things definitely a one off. The Bistro was excellent and not to be missed but advise booking.
A great find, garden centre with restaurant, butchers with great meat on offer, homemade pie's, cheese, alladins cave, really nice pieces, pictures, furniture, every thing you need for the garden, fertiliser, soils, plants, trees, garden furniture, some really cosy log burners done as features, bird foods and feeders, dog and cat equipment, food,
A really great find, we nearly drove past it, glad we didn't, we will be back,
Wonderful garden centre. We stopped in for lunch and the staff couldn’t more helpful and accommodating. There were no tables for two available, but they split a table of 4 to give us a table for two. I had one of the specials of the day which was roast beef in ciabatta with horseradish cream, a salad, coleslaw and the most wonderful home-made chips. My friend had a ham and chutney sandwich. The food was excellent and the service equally warm, friendly and accommodating special thanks to Clive, he was cheery and very much worth the trip. highly recommended.
