Simply the best pub I have ever been too! Spectacular food, amazing service, cosy atmosphere, incredibly welcoming - even to my little dog who got her own biscuits, and this was on a Tuesday night. Have also visited at a weekend when the pub is much busier but the standard of food and service is just as impressive. Could not recommend enough!!

Amazing food! We were made to feel very welcome. I’m gluten free and they were excellent in making sure I still had lots of choice, the chef even made a gluten free brownie for me. Thank you so much

This is a fantastic little pub. We visited for lunch yesterday with our 17 month old and couldn’t of been made to feel more welcome. The Signiture Steak Sandwich is about the best I've ever had. I'd highly recommend this pub.

Just had a fantastic lunch in the cutest pub in Stamford!! A little gem right in the centre, fantastic home cooked food and great hospitality! Will definitely be back when next in the area. Now just glad for the hills to walk off the lunch! Highly recommend.

We happened upon this pub by chance today while meeting relatives in Stamford and I would not hesitate to visit again. The manager/owner had a real "every customer matters" attitude and made us feel extremely welcome. The food was delicious (especially the chicken and chorizo paella) and the variety of drinks was great. It's just a shame we live in London otherwise we'd be there every weekend. Definitely recommend!!

Friendly owners and fantastic food. It was Thai food night, and the green chicken curry was the best we have ever tasted. Complimentary drink with the three course set menu.

Great little pub, friendly helpful staff, excellent range of real ales. Didn't eat there but the menu did look tempting with daily specials also to chose from.

Just got back from Stamford where my friend and her young son had taken me for lunch at the Kings Head . It was a dreadful day weather wise and we were glad to get in out of the rain. As soon as we entered we were greeted warmly by two young ladies who found us a table even though the pub was busy . A drinks order and menu was provided quickly and the extremely well presented food came in a timely fashion. The chap behind the bar , although busy found time to make conversation. Everything about the whole experience was wonderfully positive. As someone who works in high end hospitality , I have occasionally been accused of being fussy , there was nothing to be fussy over with regard today’s experience, nice food, great service delivered by a charming team, I would definitely recommend and will certainly return.

I had something here that I have not had for years, chips so hot I had to blow on them! They were lovely, as was the meal, the beer, the service, and the value for money. If you like your chips hot, get in there!

It's nice, cozy tap room, couple of appropriate handpulls, basic food menu. Portions are small...so you won't be excessively overeating but there's a distinct lack of vegetables/salad with most dishes. All table service, so they bring drinks to you...doesn't feel like a pub, but with the number of random steps it's probably a good idea.

I know we all go nuts for hyperbole these days, but I had possibly the best burger I’ve ever had today! Excellent recommendations from staff and friendly service. Great little beer garden courtyard. Fabulous gravy dipping pot option and chips.

Best pub in the area by a country mile! Beer selection is excellent and frequently changed usually helping shine a light on ‘smaller’ micro brewers. The food is excellent and pretty much exclusively sourced from the high street. The burger selection is a real USP compared to other in town and most certainly a great option. The staff have a real cohesive and family vibe which in turn emulates across your experience. Whether you fancy a quiet drink mid week or a very high energy, quirky and hilarious pub quiz on Sundays this place has it all.

I had the sticky and stout burger and it was probably the best burger I've ever had - really well cooked with delicious ingredients (that I think are locally sourced. There's a really nice beer garden for sitting out in when it's warm (there are some undercover areas). The staff are really friendly and the prices are certainly value for money. They also have a wide range of craft ales and seem to really know their stuff in terms of beer and flavour. I've already been back since I first visited and the slaw burger got a vote of approval from my son.

Great pub just off the high street in Stamford. We spend an hour here in the courtyard at the back of the pub. There was a great selection of food for all dietary requirements and also lots of different beers on tap. Well worth a visit if you are in Stamford.
