Popped in for a quick drink but will definitely be back. Very pretty traditional little pub with a small but beautiful outdoor area. Only downside was that it was difficult to park but that's to be expected due to the location really
Excellent pint of Fullers London Pride, the best in the area, in a lovely friendly pub. Definitely going back soon.
Very nice little country-style pub just outside the town centre. Really nice Sunday roast for a tenner with generous portions. Friendly atmosphere, with the staff being welcoming and the locals a lot less chavvy than other places in the town. Has parking and outdoor seating too. Recommended for a Su
This very traditional pub is as old as the hills, however with a recent makeover it mixes old with new Very well. With rather low ceilings with leather straps for hanging onto if you had too many lol (not sure what there originally used for but many of the features have remained. An open fire and a
This pub has a warm and cosy feel. I've come in 3 times now for a beer and they have 2 real ales on pump. London Pride and Otter Ale as a guest, which is actually really nice and was £4.40 a pint. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and they have food available, though I haven't yet tried it. They
This is a friendly pub with a great atmosphere. It has very many well tended pot plants which give it a homely feel. There is an enclosed garden, which is great if you have small children or dogs that otherwise might escape! Good range of beers and wine and good pub grub.
Quite little pub, back garden open for events, outside front and side seating area. I saw Morris dancing here.
Visited for the first time yesterday for a drink only Good atmosphere , plenty of space in garden .Friendly staff .
Atmosphere lively and friendly. Unfortunately couldn't eat as their kitchen was closed. However, it is a really nice, inviting pub. Would happily visit again and wish to eat there and update my review with more details.
Lovely people, nice atmosphere, great food, good selection of drinks. Really nice quaint old pub 👌👌
Went for a little get together with a party of around 30 friends and family. Lovely pub, in pleasant surroundings, friendly staff, Bernie did us proud, the food was amazing, and so tasty, everyone remarked on it. I think most of them will be back, including me. A little gem. Thank you all so much.
Very traditional English pub with outside seating and a garden. Traditional pub food and friendly staff. Some parking on the road outside, more after 6.30pm as there are some single yellow lines.
Homely and always consistently good food and a fab beer garden!
Great pub. Traditional. Circa 1610. Enjoying an after work drink with the Team.
Had a brilliant evening, enjoyed my meal (chicken curry) & the Elvis tribute act was brilliant. Well done & thanks to Bernie & her lovely staff xx
I haven't been here for about 15 years because I hadn't had a good experience, but assumed it must have changed hands in that time and finally popped in again. Now perhaps my favourite pub in the area. Great beer, lovely food and very friendly staff. Dog friendly as all pubs should be.
A proper pub. Great beers, well priced. Pub grub. Lovely family run it. A little gem. Sign says 1610, so definitely “Old”. Loads of outside seating. I miss this sort of traditional pub
Is always great to go a place where the staff are a family that actually owns the place. A very family oriented pub where dogs are welcome, the food is very good and the service is done with real care.
Favourite place to visit for a quick pint. Great atmosphere; lots of love events! Plus!!! The best home made curry I’ve had.
