On Saturday around 1 PM, only few people inside, non in garden, we went there for a quick beer. I had never been there before, and from the outside, it didn't look big, but inside there was actually a lot of space. The interior was typical of an English pub, nothing that surprised me. The highlight was the garden, which was really nice, especially on warm days. The staff was friendly, and the prices were average. I recommend it.
What a cracking pub this is locates in Stafford town centre. About ten ales on and 2 ciders when I went including four Black Country ales (along with the usual selections) friendly behind the bar and locals are chatty. Dog friendly. Dart board. Does cold batches.Recommended if you want to try some ale and in the town centre. Recommended π» π π π
Plenty of space in this Black Country Ales pub.
A good selection of ales and freshly made cobs. I had a cheese and onion that had just been made and an unusual Oakham ale.
There are plenty of sauces and pickles.
Pickles would probably be best left in a fridge, though.
Visited on Friday evening for a quick drink of real ale. Was not disappointed. Under relatively new management, we were warmly greeted by the new landlord, which set the tone for the whole experience. Great service, good beer and a very friendly atmosphere. You would do well to try this place should you venture into Stafford.
Really nice pub, very homely. The bar snacks are really nice too.
Friendly owners / staff and welcoming to children too.
Worth a visit while the other half goes to Riverside shopping!!
Visit the pub for the acoustic night held on a Tuesday night. This is a lovely pub. Really welcoming.
Great selection of beers on tap.
There is a fantastic beer garden at the back.
There is lot's of events happening throughout the week, a really lovely local pub. Will definitely become a regular.
I'm enjoying going down on Tuesday nights because they host a music evening (bunch of people with acoustic guitars taking turns to sing a song) and that chimes well with the excellent beers and great company.
Very warm and welcoming atmosphere here . Nice large pub with lots of rooms and we enjoyed our time there with great drinks and playing darts. Will definitely go back as it has a lovely relaxed environment
We meet here weekly and the staff are pleasant and helpful. We don't eat so can't comment on that but the drinks are good. Place is always clean and tidy and welcoming.
First time in with the girlfriend we found it to be a nice little pub very clean and friendly staff.
This is a fine example of a multi-roomed, traditional, town centre pub. The owners, Black Country Inns as usual have made a good job of creating a comfortable, freindly drinkng environment.
Great pub for a pint. I visit the board game club on a Sunday and it's always friendly and comfortable
Excellent place, good choice of great beers, loved the cheese and onion cobs
Early on a Friday evening it was not busy with perhaps half a dozen regulars drinking at the tables.
We saw signs for live music and quizzes on various nights so would expect it to be busier then.
Pleasant enough environment and cheap prices make for a pub worth a visit.
Table top games are also available here for entertainment.
