Weeping Cross Fish Bar - Stafford - Photo album

Beware the chips! They're great, but the portion sizes are stomach testing. Good food, cooked fresh. We haven't tried the kebabs but the fish and chips are excellent. It's a good idea to order ahead especially if it's raining as there's generally not enough room for everyone to wait inside.
I was so happy when I found this fish & chip shop! Always delicious, fresh batter and the tartar sauce is fab! Wouldn't go any where else.
We've been going here nearly every week for a year and they're the best chippy around. Always fantastic food, incredibly friendly staff, 10/10 highly recommend!.
Good menu selections on offer. Staff were good in taking order and getting it ready. Portion sizes were really good and I felt I was getting value for money. Quality of the food was top notch as well. There is parking over the road so can easily drive to the CoOp car park and walk in. Would recommen
First time I've been to this chippy and will be back....portion sizes are huge and loved it.
I had the Cod Special meal of Cod, chips, and I chose mushy peas but could have had curry sauce (or a "something else" which I forget) instead of the peas for £8.95 which was good quality well cooked/fried and provided with friendly and quick service, all in all excellent value. Many thanks and I'll
Great chippy, probably the best in the midlands. Don’t be put off by the queues, it’s definitely worth the wait. Everything is fresh and tasty.
John and his team provided food for our retirement party for all of our staff. They very kindly delivered it to the venue. It was on time, hot and very tasty! I would highly recommend this service. Thank you so much to all of you for helping to make our whole day so lovely 😊
Great friendly staff, I only had 2 battered sausages which were gooood. Was told by another customer that fish and chips are good too and it looked really good too
Food was freshly cooked but the waiting time was over 25 minutes. A long time when you have done your shopping after work. The conclusion was, when you did get it, it was lovely.
The Best Chippy ever!! All Fresh, Red Hot, Lovely Food Lovely Staff, You should open up a Train of Chip Shop's!! x
I’ve conquered a fair few chippies in my time so I know a good one when I see one, I’d say for me best I’ve had in Stafford by a long shot but there’s not much competition in these neck of the woods. I do feel Stafford chippies should introduce the tradition of battered chips think we miss a trick h
Absolutely awesome, the wife is celiac and we went here and the gluten free fish and chips were banging. The normal food was awesome too. Highly recommended. Picture is of gluten free!!!
Just moved to Stafford & everyone I asked about fish & chips told me to go here. Glad I did. I ordered a Haddock & I swear I’ve never had a bigger piece of fish in my life. It was well cooked & the batter was nice & crispy on the outside. Staff are very polite & friendly. I’ll definitely go there ag
Our first time visit as they are now doing gluten free food on Sundays and Monday's. Orders for GF food can be placed in advance if needed, takes around 5/6 minutes to cook. Service was very good, nice friendly owner who asked questions about our visit and offered some helpful advice too. Hurrah for
