Absolute Gem of a pub. We stopped by for a little lunch and was super impressed. We have eaten a carvary here before, which is always fantastic with massive amounts of choice but had never tried the normal menu. I had lemon chicken, and my husband had chicken and ribs. Both were absolutely delicious
The Sunday carvery is absolutely fabulous, the selection is amazing. It gets very busy so I would recommend booking in advance. Would be 5 stars but the older lady behind the bar was extremely rude to everybody that came to the bar, we all have bad days but if your attitude is that bad you might nee
It is an excellent place if you want to meet fellow bikers on a Monday night. They also do biker meals at keen prices
Called in when passing and although fully booked, proparbly because of a menu of 2 for £16 on Wednesdays, accommodated us in the bar. Food a little slow in arriving ( over 30 minutes ) but well worth the wait. Ample portions and delicious. Will definitely visit again.
We popped in for lunch after camp bestival today and we were greeted by a lovely lady. Who was polite and chatty. And we ordered food and it was delicious. And such a wide variety on the menu. Thank you for a yummy lunch. Even the kids loved it !!!!
Went here for a friends mums birthday. Had the carvery. The beef was nice but slightly dry. Mash had some lumps in but good selection of sides for the carvery. Had to wait for our slot to queue for the carvey as the queue for it is between two rooms. My 4 yr old loved it. Staff were friendly and at
Went for the Sunday carvery with family. Greeted by a friendly member of staff and was seated fairly quickly, considering it was packed and we had not reserved a table. Choice of a starter, main and desert with a cup of coffee at a reasonable price < £20pp Main was absolutely amazing! Meat was coo
The building is obviously run down and the tables are rather crowded. The servery is not very in the best place for a queue. Having said that the food was very good, and I would go again.
Great Sunday Carvery. If you are looking for a hearty dinner in a traditional pub then this is the place to go.
Carvery was lovely and a good price. However, it felt very cramped and busy with lots of people always pushing past out table to get to the carvery.
