Our second visit and once again a superb lunch at a reasonable price. Delicious thank you, and we'll be back for more! UPDATE Dec19 We're somewhat alarmed to note that this fine establishment has changed its name and, now, the headline main course dish is some kind of burger. And it now opens for breakfast too, 2 bacon 2 eggs style. Fortunately the French lunch menu was still available last week and long may it continue. Needless to say, we won't be making our one-hour drive for bacon, eggs and burgers! We sincerely wish you luck and good business in the future :)

Food was beautifully cooked and well presented, creme brulee had a fantastic caramelised crust. Worth visiting if you want something cosy, out of the way with good food and service.

We visited here recently for a birthday meal. It was my first time visiting and I couldn't fault the service and quality of food. There was a large party of us and nothing was too much trouble. Also, although there was a lot of us, the food didn't take too long to arrive. Lovely food and very friendly staff.

Been here for years and it's one place that you can guarantee a wonderful french cuisine meal with old fashion customer service. The food is superb, fresh and good value. Can't rate it high enough.

Visited after seeing the signs to this place dotted around Amerton. I’ve always wondered what to expect from this place and when the time came to visit I wasn’t surprised as it lived up to my expectation - I had expected it to be slightly low key and humble and that’s exactly what it is. It’s essentially a pub which used to be called ‘The Cock Inn’ that has an area set aside for dining with a French theme. The food on the menu looks great, they do not compromise and offer crowd pleasing favourites, instead sticking to their roots and offering all French dishes. I was slightly underwhelmed with the basa dish I had, presentation was spot on but not impressing me with the taste, my wife loved her mussels though so maybe I choose the wrong dish, other reviews so nothing but great things about the food. Love that they have a guestbook to sign, it makes interesting reading while you’re there.

Country location offering a pleasant atmosphere in a setting that successfully combines a cosy country pub feel and a bistro. The food was lovely; fresh, well cooked and well served with friendly service at good value for money. We really enjoyed it & will certainly visit again. Chris & Stella

Great little find. It wasn't too busy and the food was great, so we went back for a second evening. The young man working there was polite, friendly and amusing. I would certainly recommend it and if we were in the area again we'd go back.

We discovered this gem of a French inspired restaurant through a voucher offer some two years ago and have been back many times since.Today (Sunday) was no exception the steak lunch which we both had and my pint of ale was delicious and the service efficient and friendly.well worth the round trip of fifty miles or so.

What a surprising place! Food is unbelievable..... And the choice is great. Not normal pub grub. Give it a try. They go the extra mile!
