10 of us had the carvery on Father’s Day and it was excellent. The pub itself has a lovely atmosphere and the beer garden overlooking the canal is the place to be on a warm day watching the boats.

Lovely pub by the side of the canal on the edge of the village of Wheaton Aston, the pub has a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, selling a good range of real ale, cider and wine, the food is excellent cooked by the owner who is a very experienced chef, service is good staff very friendly, reasonably priced, it is advisable to book.

Midweek visit lunchtime visit (so 4 star "atmosphere"). Quiet stroll along the canal with the dog, finishing back at The Hartley. Staff very friendly and pleasant, happy for us to park on car park before Walk. Lunchtine food very good, had the Farmer's Platter for two. Nice selection of beers and lagers, plus Inch's cider, perfect to wash down the meal while sitting at a table overlooking the canal.

Our 1st time here today. Lovely position next to the canal. All the staff were friendly & welcoming. Food was amazing. I had the ciabatta bread off the lunch menu & my other half had the chicken kebab. Definitely going again.

I delivered a cocktail bar on Friday liked the look of place so drove back 30 miles on Saturday and my wife and I enjoyed an excellent meal.

Popped in on a busy Friday evening. The service was pretty prompt considering how busy they were. The only disappointment was the size of my cod. Plenty of batter but not much fish I'm afraid. Other than that, everything was fine...

We moored overnight at Wheaton Aston so had our tea here. Food was great, vegetable soup in particular, and big plate fulls on main course. Service very attentive and pleasant. If you’re stopping over at Wheaton Aston I’d highly recommend dropping in.

Lovely staff put ten fresh Sunday lunches out with only one tiny mix-up, professionally handled. The food was high quality, enjoyed by all - but the cauli was crunchy and someone's parsnip seemed to have escaped the oven altogether. We'll be back 😀

Lovely pub, right on the side of the Shropshire union canal. We moored up very close by (plenty of mooring) and booked for an evening meal. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff, choose steak and chips,, cooked to perfection,, so delicious and tasty. Highly recommended 😊

Lovely country pub with exceptional food; the chips are as good as you will find anywhere! Service is also very good with really polite and affable staff. Good veggie options too, especially the veg lasagna. Highly recommended!
